I have a 1994 mercury grand marquis. The cruise

Hi Debbie,First I think it should be said that whatever is wrong with your cruise control it is definitely NOT caused by a fuse. Fuses do not cause electrical circuits to fail. Failing electrical circuits case fuses to blow. With that said, there are 2 fuses that affect your cruise control operation: Fuse #6 (10 Amp) and Fuse #7 (15 Amp), both of which are located in the instrument panel fuse block. Fuse #6 is the power feed to the cruise control servo and Fuse #7 is the brake lamp fuse, which provides power to let the cruise control servo know when you have applied the brake.

My 1994 Mercury Marquis has a constant beeping

Hello and welcome to FixYa!
Is it a beep like when the door is open? The door sensors can be worn out that's why it makes a beep. But before you replace the door sensors, try to remove the positive battery connector and let it sit for atleast 5mins. or more before reconnecting it. This will reset the system and can get rid of the beeping sound.
Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa!

How do I find the

Look for a sticker inside the trunk lid. Look for a note in the owner's manual. last resort ($$) go to dealer and have them look up the factory code. You can also add your own, easy to remember, code like your zip code, in addition to the factory code, but you will need the factory code to set your own.

How do i know if

the easiest and best way is to do a compression check on all cylinders, they should all read very close to the same numbers ,, also,, for big leaks, check the oil dip stick, if its a white goo instead of the normal oil look, you may have a bad head gasket,, it could also be a intake manifold gasket , so thats why you need to do the compression check to be sure

How do i change the fuel filter

hello...follow these steps to replace fuel filter on your Grand Marquis:

1) Apply the parking brake. Unscrew the gas filler cap from the fuel tank on the driver's side. Open the hood and disconnect the negative cable from the battery

2) Go underneath the car from the driver's side. Look for the fuel filter mounted to the vehicle chassis just below the driver's seating area. You should be able to identify the fuel filter as a metal cylinder attached to a black hose. This hose is your fuel line and it should run from the fuel tank at the rear of the vehicle to the engine
3) Notice that the area between the fuel filter and the fuel line is covered by a set of push-connect fittings. Remove these fittings using a flat-head screwdriver. Simply slide the screwdriver between the legs of the clips and push outwards until the legs of the clips open up. Remove the push-connect fittings and set them aside. The fuel line should disconnect from the fuel filter when you remove the push-connect fittings. If the fuel line does not disconnect, pull on the fuel line until it detaches from the fuel filter.

3) Loosen the fuel filter retaining clamp that secures the filter to the chassis of the vehicle---
Slide the fuel filter out of the retaining clamp and discard it.

4) Slide a new fuel filter into the retaining clamp. Tighten the retaining clamp over the fuel filter to secure it to the chassis. Align the fuel line with the inlet and outlet lips of the fuel filter. Push the fuel line onto the fuel filter until you hear an audible click. Attach the push-connect fittings over the area where the fuel line and the fuel filter meet.

5) Reconnect the negative cable to the battery. Tighten the gas filler cap to the fuel tank. Turn on the ignition and allow the car to idle for a few minutes to pressurize the fueling system.

Visual check for leaks...that's it, you are done.
Good luck & i hope this helps FixYa!

Cruise control doesn't work.

for being 86 I think he should not ever consider using the cruise control any longer.
The module is located under the dash on the drivers side
Also rebuilding these are not very helpful for other parts can wear out soon and more money will be wasted or just can not find good replacement parts due to it's age

94 mercury grand marquis LS

Hello, There is a fuel cutoff switch in the drivers side of the trunk. It is referred to as the Inertia sensor. It will detect an impact and disconnect the power to the fuelpump.

If you look at the drivers side of the carpeted trunk there will be a slot in the carpet or a hole. All you need to do is push on the switch button and the system will reset. If you have air ride the Inertia switch is next to it.

Mercury grand marquis air conditioning has a leak,

Any leak in the area of the compressor is going to be a bad seal on teh compressor connections or around the clutch. They sell a leak detection additive that you add to your system to find leaks. This is also included in many refill products. The best advise I can give for locating the leak is to get a product with leak detection fluid added and add that to the system. You will need a black light to detect the additive. In order to improve your chances of finding teh leak, clean the area around the compressor and all connections with an engine cleaner. In a garage or after 6pm, the time the sun is going down, start the vehicle and turn the AC on and add the detection fluid and then use the black light to locate the leak. Once located you can identify what is needed for the repair and fix your system. Remember to add freon and leak detection additives through the low pressure line and make sure the AC is set to max cool for the best results. The test should take about 10 to 15 minutes after the detection fluid is added. The black light will make the additive king of glow around the areas it leaks from which is why you need the light. All of this assumes you have checked the High and Low pressure switches and that they are operating properly.

Rear driver side turn signal

I believe you have to open the trunk, behind the cover for the trunk panels, there should access to the light holders, unless its an older model I'm thinking of then there will be a couple of places to remove a nut or screw , and the light slides out towards the trunk lid,, check along the truck lid panel to see if a screw is there too
