P0462 code
P0462 is Fuel Level Sensor Circuit Low Voltage.Possible causes
- Faulty fuel level sensor- Fuel level sensor harness is open or shorted- Fuel level sensor circuit poor electrical connection Low fuel level can trigger this code. Before replacing any parts try
filling up the fuel tank and erasing the engine code. If the problem
persist it may be necessary to replaced the fuel level sensor.
04 PT cruiser will not rev above 2500rpm
Yes there is a governor which limits the rpm to 2500 rpm. It ha been limited because beyond this rev, the engine gets overheated and if kept running it that condition would slowly but surely damage the engine badly. Once you have reached the limit naturally your cruise control will stop working since its supposed to maintain that speed, which is not allowed by the governor. This governor can be removed but then you will have to risk damaging your engine fatally........................sodeep

You need to bleed the Cooling system(While engine is on...) through the bleeder valve on top of the engine (w/ heater selected ON,and on High Speed ofcourse!).
Could you please tell me
- On the lower front passenger side of the engine there is an adjustable idler pulley for the AC. Loosen that center bolt a few turns to release the tension on the AC belt.
- Remove the old belt.
- Place new belt on.
- Tighten the idler pulley bolt until the belt is snug.
- Job complete.

Take off the pass side wheel and black wheel well cover....You will see it there...May have to pop off the air filter housing from the top to get to the terminals...with the right tools it took me about 40 minutes to change mine out.
