How do you tell if the auto shutdown relay is bad

Any relay can be tested to some degree, but to be certain, just buy an inexpensive relay and try it in there, The Automatic Shut Down relay is just one of many relays on your car. It takes battery power from the battery, and when activated by the computer, will pass that power on to the fuel injectors and to the ignition coil, some applications also it will work on the fuel pump. If the ASD relay is bad, no injector pulse, no power to coil, etc.-car won't start. When key is turned to off, the relay is not active-I think that may be why it's called auto shutdown relay.

How to tell if fuel line is plugged

If you open your hood and look along your fuel rail, you should see a "check valve", Looks alot like a car tire valve(may or may not have a black cap on it.Take the cap off, and push down on the plunger.Hold it down and have someone cycle the key to the on position.(WITH CAUTION) fuel WILL spray out(as long as your fuel pump is good/line filter not clogged. If it shoots out, you have good pressure your fuel pump is good, lines are NOT clogged.IF it shoots out(WITH GOOD pressure) i would suggest replacing your fuel filterIf it DOES NOT shoot out, Your fuel pump is no good

I have a 98 plymouth

The most likely is that you have either a bad speedometer sender, or bad speedometer cable connection.
Also a bad speedometer on instrument panel can cause the same , but is not very common.

Smoke from oil cap under bonnet

If I'm not mistaken that usually indicates a block in your coolant system...drain and flush to look for stoppage...with engine cooled remove radiator cap and start and stop engine to see if levels rise and fall correctly.

2000 chrysler voyager stalls while driving

Is the check engine light on? If it is check for codes. This may give you a better idea of what is failing. If its not on and When it doesn't start the first thing I would do is check for spark. I realize that it may not stall at the most convieniant time but knowing whether or not you have spark will help you figure this out and will be the easiest thing to check. If there is no spark I would suspect a bad crank sensor. If there is spark than it may be a fuel issue. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to answer them. Thank you for using FixYa.com! If there is no spark than the first thi I’m happy to assist further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/jeremy_d728a59f986299fa
