Why is my 2006 mercury grand marquis overheating?

Make sure your fluid is up in the radiator. Check your thermostat. It could not be operating properly Has the radiator been flushed lately? A dirty rad will do that Is the water pump working right and check all rad hoses making sure they are not buckled.

Installed a new blend door actuator in a 2006 grand marq but not working

Before you installed the actuator did you try to turn the door with a screw driver? This will confirm that the door is not stuck. The other thing to check is hold the actuator in your hand, with the plug connected to the actuator. Start the car and moved the temperature control from a cold to hot setting and back. You should see and feel the actuator stem moving. If the stem is not moving it is a electrical problem. Do both checks since a stuck door can blow the fuse.

Changed fuel pump out on mercury and now it wont turn over

After you have depressurized the fuel system, you need to repressurize the system before the car will run. Do the following:
  1. Insert the ignition key;
  2. Turn the key to the ON position. Count to 5;
  3. Turn the key to the OFF position. Count to 5
  4. Again, turn the key to the ON position. Count to 5;
  5. Again, turn the key to the OFF position. Count to 5;
  6. ONE MORE TIME: ON... COUNT... OFF... COUNT.
  7. (THAT'S THREE CYCLES)
  8. Now, start the car normally. You have successfully repressurized your fuel system.
  9. Enjoy!

Cruise control not working

Check with a Dealer for a Recall on the Cruise unit and park the car outside until you do. There were fire hazards for some year models. Get your Vin# checked to see if the upgrade was missed. The Dealers installed an inline fuse to repair these.
