Rebecca most fuse boxes when you take the lid off it will have a diagram on the back showing which fuse is which. If it doesn't you can pull them one at a time to see if any is blown. Does you front marker/running lights work? They are on the same fuse. Check and see if your brake lights are working? If they are out too it could be a brake light switch. Last but not least you might be able to call a Auto Parts Store like AutoZone. They should be able to look it up in the computer and tell you. They can usually print out pictures showing the fuse box and location of the fuses. I hope this is helpful to you.

The J1850 bus is the single wire PCI data bus, which is used by most of the electronic components for the communication in between them. The shorted to battery message means that at some point 12V is fed to this bus. Normal bus voltage measured with a digital volt meter is fluctuating between 2 and 3 volts more or less.

See if there is voltage at the socket. If not check the wire plug that connects the rear wires to the loom. Possible multifunction switch.

I would look to the electrical side of the fan operation. You have three basic components to the cooling fan operation...the fan switch, the fan relay, and the fan motor. You need to determine what part of the system is not working. If you can run a 12V jumper wire to the motor and it works you know it must be either the switch or the relay. if you jump out the switch and the fan runs, you know it must be the switch.
