you can reset any vehicle code by taking off the negative (black) lead off from battery for 30 minutes. make sure it don't touch anything else. if you have light on go to your local auto parts place and have code checked before hand. resetting light will also reset all codes and delete them. why is the light on?

try to say what you are doing "the job" and why, or if not a job, must be diagnosing it, ? say , im trying to test it or. what ever you doing. we cant guess, what fix means. Diagnosing direct injection? The 4JX1 is a 3.0 L direct injection diesel engine, turbo, some intercooled, which replaced the 4JG2 in the Isuzu Bighorn/Trooper/Holden Jackaroo. It uses unit injectors and 4 valves per cylinder. European and Asian buyers could opt for the diesel. see we dont have this. troopers are sold in Asia too, but not here with diesel.

on the bottom edge of the panel are 2 or 3 square covers that clips of to reveal the screws . Also the handle and door opener must be unscrewed and removed. If u have manual windows the horse shoe clip behind the winder must be removed first. If its electric windows you will need to carefully pry the switch panel out of the door panel and then check if there are any screws behind it.

1st of all check the abs sensor on the affected wheel,if its still intact,then u can scan and clear the abs fault with a lunch or all data software....or take it to a professional dealer

ok what engine is there,? gas or diesel, ill guess, gas. that symptoms Gob smacks me as, timing errors. is the cam belt ignore for 6 years. (6x 10k per year, is 60k mile) that is all part of a tuneup, or doing necessary service on the engine. the belt slipped, if you had check spark timing ,it be way off, and that belt caused that. gen 2, trooper have this line up, 3.2 L 6VD1 SOHC V6 3.2 L 6VD1 DOHC V6 3.5 L 6VE1 DOHC V6 3.0 L 4JX1 TD I4 3.1 L 4JG2 TD I4 i ask every time, and not one ever can figure out whats under the hood. sadly. the last 2 are diesel... if you disclose engine that tells the spert, what EFI system is there.

are yous saying engine runs on 3 cylinders, (sure dead slow)? great facts, so few post have actual facts or tests but what engine, it's engine issues, which one? must be v6, (left right bank) but is it single or twin cam 24valves? check all fuses first. (always) lets see... one side has no spark, so did you scan he PCM while cranking for P03xx codes DTC errors. it will show them if you crank for 5 full seconds, and release the key , 90% of time. and is a KEY fact in diagnosis, no need to fix cars like 1995 and older here. we use scan tools and win,. left side has spark and fuel but is dead, so its flooding on that side. right bank has no spark and no fuel. you meant both sides dont fire. and engine does not run at all. so what is wrong. well I check spark first. is the timing good? if not the cam belt slipped. as all do , ignored. 5 min check and bam , OMG timings way off.... or check compression first. i do on all old cars. for 2 reasons. 1:if compression is way off, the cam belt slipped. 2: if uneven , (done right) you go , gee, is this old car worth a rebuild? 13 years old, IMO , it is. but isuzu parts. hard to get? do compression on #1 clylinder (or 3) first. if way off. bingo. 5 min work done WOT, wide open throttle. bingo line up 3.2 L 6VD1 SOHC V6 3.2 L 6VD1W DOHC V6 (w = 24v) 3.5 L 6VE1 DOHC V6 which one???????? knowing engine, tells the mech, what spark system is there and which of 2 fuel systems used. see? does engine have 1 coil pack with 6 lugs, or 6 cop coil packs. see? if compression is ok. and one bank is dry. that means the injectors are dead on one side. and that means the PCM is seeing bad CMP sensor data. some CMP can do that. but no engine stated. SOme CMP sends camp pulses for all cylinders can can fail on one bank. but if the cam belt slipped, some PCM go nuts with crazy CMP pulses. let me explain if you were a PCM and the cam and crank signals. are in contradiction, do you inject or not? (pretend that) some do, some dont other guess wrong, or go goofy. the spark and injections are all timed. that is why I always check spark timing First. a 5min job. the new cars have no spark timing adjustments and many think that is excuse to throw the tool away nothing is so far from the truth... learn this. and win...

What is? It tells the ECU what position the crank is in to control timing.

Try disconnecting a battery cable. Reconnect 5 min later. This resets the ECM. These vehicles are a real continuing problem when they get old. I had a 1990 Trooper II and finally junked it last year.

while the bolt holes appear to be symmetrical you will probably find that all but one will screw in easily you may have to turn the flywheel a hole at a time until all the bolts screw in finger tight. Some flywheels have a dowel to line up the holes

possibly a coolant leak somewhere above the turbo is what I would suspect. I haven't seen any water cooled turbo's within the automotive industry...

replacing the battery energises the immobiliser so it will not allow the engine tom start. Try using a scanner to reset the immobiliser
