What does a BMW 2006, 325i alternator warning

Hi rs11126,

If your charging system has a malfunction, you should see a red icon that shows a battery symbol with a - and + sign in your cluster. It has been used in most of BMW vehicles as a warning indicator.

My 2006 325I door wont

In a 2006, most likely a fuse. I saw one with a failed fuse just a week ago.
If it turns out to be the actuator, they are not difficult to replace, though it takes some time to remove and carefully replace the door panel. Disconnect the battery several minutes before unplugging the air bag if you want to pull the door panel completely out of your way, and DON'T connect the battery and check to see if the new one works while the air bag is unplugged.

Where is the fuse located

Hi ranjit,

I think it is fuse 30 located in the interior fuse panel behind the glove box. If you open the glove box you should be able to see the fuse panel, and it should have piece of paper with a fuse diagram. I think #30 is the second row from the top and to the far right.

I replaced the fuel pump....car

The relay should have been trouble shot BEFORE changing out the pump. If you've got 12v at the pump it is not the pump. Unless you installed a bad pump. But, no 12v at the pump= bad relay. But ten you've got to see what activates the fuel pump relay.

2006 bmw x3 has airbag

The most popular do-it-yourself tool for this is the Peake, but Peake does not yet sell a model that will reset the light on a 2006.
The dealer can reset it, but they will charge you a bundle for 2 minutes work.
Find a good German car specialty shop that has a professional tool that will reset it for a reasonable price. My usual shop reset my wife's for free, so I took them doughnuts.

2006 BMW X3 - Airbag warning light is on, radio

Hello
When you have this many problems in the electrical system guessing is not an option as to the cause. You MUST have the BMW dealer perform a diagnostic scan of the appropriate control modules for fault codes, based on the symptoms that would be the SRS (Air bag restraint system module) module and the BCM (Body control module) module. This system scan for fault codes is the very 1st thing that needs to be done to find the root cause of these faults.

My windshield resevoir was low

That's just some deposits from the water. The minerals in the water are crystallizing in the lines due to heat from the motor. use a strong uncut windshield washer fluid and give it time to clear out.

Where is the fuel filter

Like many late model cars there is no external separate fuel filter, it is part of the pressure regulator and is located on the top of the fuel tank, you must drop the tank top replace it. According to BMW this is never needed unless the fuel tank is removed to service the fuel pump module.

Everything is dead in my

this is due to a dead battery, the problem is getting into the car to connect jumper cables to try and start the car, alot of these cars are all eclectronic controllled and the key fob is what controls door locks and starting but with a dead battery it cant communicate with computer, if the doors are locked and theres no lock on the door to unlock it then you will need to have AAA unlock it with a tool that goes inside to release lock and then gain acess to battery and replace it or jump it, and go from there, it may just be a bad battery or something was left on like a light but most of these cars have an anti drain module which will shut power down if something is left on until the engine is started. good luck and hope this helps.

How to change a headlight

Remove the headlight cover by flipping the latch and then disconnecting the electrical harness connected to it. Disconnect the wire harness to the light bulb, you can pull on it. At the top of the bulb you can slide the latch and open it, be careful as the latch will pop out, the bulb should pop out.

Loosen the top two bolts that hold the headlight assembly.Do not touch the bulb with your bare fingers.Use something like surgical gloves.Disconnect the wire harness to the light bulb, you can pull on it.Put in the bulb, make sure it goes into the slot, by looking through the headlight.Once you set the clip then install the wire connector. Now test whether the bulbs are working fine and mount the head light assembly again.

After you remove the bumper and unplug the light
1) to remove the lights you also need to remove the bracket that hold the light(pics1)
2) remove the blots on the bracket and top of headlight(circle on pics2)
pics 3 is of the bolts behind the turn signal.
