2001 GMC Yukon XL - Page 9 Questions & Answers
When my 2001 yukon reach 35 miles on the odomator,
You have a transmission problem, and there is very little the average person can do except check the fluid and make sure that it is getting coolant. So I would recommend that you check the fluid (and the feel of it also) and make sure it isn't overheating (is getting coolant flow) and if neither of those are the problem to take it to the professionals. I don't recommend a chain transmission shop because they have a tendency to do more that what is required and to charge more.
When I apply the brakes on my 2001 GMC youkon
When you say the pads and rotors look good, did you actually remove the wheels and check them? A lot of times the outside pad will look ok, but the inside pad can be right down to the metal backing plate. If you can get under the truck, run your finger across the rotors on the inside of the rotor. It should feel smooth. If it feels rough, the inside pad is gone. There really isnt any other reason you would both hear and feel grinding in the brakes.

It is running to warm, and I have been told so
Your right. The problem with the 97-2004 Yukons is the radiators and the collant systems, and no one really knows what is wrong with them. I have had my 99 Yukon for 7 years and I love her. I spent a ton of money to find out that the only thing I can really do, is make sure the coolant is kept topped up. Coolant is cheap and I only have to top it up every few months, but it seems to have solved the the over heating issue for me. You can replace the rad if you want but it only seems to change things for a few months at best. I went through 4 before I gave up.
AFTER VEHICLE IS DRIVEN AWHILE,
This may just be a loose connection specifically the connector to the gauge since all gauges are affected. You will have to open the panel under the dashboard on the driver side to gain access to it.
Srs light on
The light comes on because the airbag computer has detected a malfunction. You need to have the system checked for codes with a scan tool. You then need to have the cause repaired by a trained technician. The airbag system is not a safe place for do it you selfers.
