Cooling fans come on with the heater blower motors
Hello and no this is not factory. The cooling fans are designed to come on once the engine tempture reaches a certain tempture to keep the vehicle from over heating. The blower motor switch controls the heat/ac inside the vehicle. There is no reason I can think of for the cooling fans to be tied into the blower motor switch. Hope this is helpful
Volkswagen passat 95 wont start in park position
It sounds like the starter safety switch is bad. It prevents the car from starting in other gears beside neutral. Try placing the gear selector in neutral and see if it starts. If it does not, then the switch needs replacing.
When starting most of the time it does not turn
OK YOU HAVE ONE OF TWO PROBLEMS FIRST IS A BAD CONNECTION CHECK AT THE BATTERY FIRST FOR DIRTY CONNECTION AND THEN AT STARTER IF THEY ARE CLEAN AND GOOD REPLACE THE STARTER BECAUSE THE BRUSHES ARE WEARING OUT AND THATS THE WARNING SIGN.
No heat
Look under the dash to see if the controller flaps are working(Unsure if u have auto or manual cable adjustment) move the hot to cold lever or press the button if electric as the old cable systems do break. Is the thermostat okay, look if the heater radiator core is okay, do you get a mist on the windscreen and sweet small?this can be done by removing the panels on either side oth the gearbox tunnel(footwell area) then use a torchlight to check. Some engine models have a 2 way valve in the engine bay/firewall area connected to the radiator that can rust or sieze and stop heatflow to the inner heater radiator.follow the radiator pipes going from the engine to the firewall to find it.
Need timing marks for a 1995 vw passat gls with a
- WARNING Do NOT turn the engine or camshaft with the timing belt removed. The pistons will contact the valves and cause internal engine damage.
Disconnect the negative battery cable and remove the accessory drive belts, crankshaft pulley and the timing belt cover(s).
- Temporarily reinstall the crankshaft pulley bolt and turn the crankshaft to TDC of No. 1 piston. The mark on the camshaft sprocket should be aligned with the mark on the inner timing belt cover or the edge of the cylinder head.
- With the distributor cap removed, the rotor should be pointing toward the No. 1 mark on the rim of the distributor housing. On 8 valve engines, the notch on the crankshaft pulley should align with the dot on the intermediate shaft sprocket.
- Loosen the locknut on the tensioner pulley and turn the tensioner counterclockwise to relieve the tension on the timing belt.
- Slide the timing belt from the sprockets
- INSTALL: Check the alignment of the timing marks. On 16-valve engines, the mark on the tooth should align with the mark on the rear belt cover.
- Install the new timing belt and tension the belt so it can be twisted 90° at the middle of it's longest section, between the camshaft and intermediate sprockets.
- Recheck the alignment of the timing marks and, if correct, turn the engine 2 full revolutions to return to TDC of No. 1 piston. Recheck belt tension and timing marks. Readjust as required. Torque the tensioner nut to 33 ft. lbs. (45 Nm).
- Install the belt cover and accessory drive belts.
(1995 vw passat) central locking doesnt work just buzzes
Your central locking pump in the right rear of boot area behind light cluster may be faulty but if not check the rubber pipe between each door, open doors wide and in the big black rubber boot is the small rubber pipe. They perrish and cost peanuts to replace from any car parts shop.Do all doors regardless as one worn means all will go soon also.
Doors will not lock

How to adjust cluch on a 1995 passat?
I am not to sure but if you have a cable clutch instead of a hydrolic one you can put your car in first gear or nuetral (can't remember exactly ), (not running and on flat level ground) and pull up towards you on the clutch pedal this might take up the slack in the cable. This worked on my 2002 mustang there is a thing called a quadrant that clicks and locks the free play in the stretched cable. Just a suggestion and it's free so what the heck ??? I am not sure if this applies to what is accually wrong with your clutch so it is only a helpfull hint.
