My name is Ben and I'm your guru, i.e., an influential teacher or popular expert: a management guru. - origin from Sanskrit, 'weighty, grave'.for today, for today.

As you evaluate my advise and suggestions, there are a few things you must keep in mind:

• I did not diagnose your problem and am therefore only able to evaluate what you tell me. For example, if you ask me a fuse location, that doesn't mean that I can tell you the reason why the fuse blew.
• A thorough diagnostic approach involves the use of technical equipment, xuch as voltage meters. scanning equipment and other sophisticated devices.
• Lastly, fixing one problem can very easily reveal a problem with something that you might consider unrelated. If that happens, you might want to view me as being incompetent.

Subject: The steps one must take to measure the fuel pressure on a fuel injection engine

Customer's description: where is the fuel system test port located on a 1995 grand am? the car engine has been stalling out, when first started not much power until the engine gets warm

Discussion: Provide the customer with the response requested. However the problem may well be the idle relief valve, the crankshaft sensor, the camshaft sensor, or the fuel pressure sensor.

There is a large is attached to the fuel sender assembly to the top of the intake manifold and supplies fuel to the injectors. A fuel pressure tap is located on the rail for quick pressure checks.

If you don't have a pressure gauge, AutoZone will loan you one FREE.

HINT: Try and find an Actron CP9110 code scanner so that you can perform a full diagnosis of your problem.

All the best,

Don't visually check the fuses, not a reliable way to verify if they are good or not....check all the fuses using a test light.

Commonly it is the thermostat and the location is :
Follow the large hose on the left side of the radiator until you find the piece it connects to(with the engine ). This is the thermostat housing, the thermostat is inside it.

you'll find this view from the left side of the engine .

Which pins did you mean ?? from which side are they in the pic?

1995 Pontiac... | Answered on Aug 22, 2011

You may have to reset it by putting in a code. You can find the code in your owners manual. In our Grand Am we have to reset the Check Oil light after we change the oil. For the oil light it is something like press the gas peddle in 5 times within 30 seconds....something like that. Good luck
