98 maxima won't start
You need to make sure of two things number one you need to make sure that you are getting the adequate fuel pressure from your fuel pump you need to see it with your own eyes to make sure can some people can put fuel pumps on the fuel pumps can be bad they didn't verify the pressure so your pressure needs to be verified from you feel side now is your engine side you need to make sure that you're getting the correct voltage 14.5 volts note to start your car if you don't check those two things and get this kind of going on a whim you know that's a good start for you

Having a scan tool that reads engine sensor data is the way to a fix . What are the fuel trims at ? short term an long term . Do you know what these are . What does the computer show for mass air flow data > not just a code . Coolant temp sensor - what does the computer show engine temp is ? Throttle position sensor ? Your best bet may be to take your vehicle to a qualified repair shop that knows how to diagnose these type problems . not just replacing parts .It takes years to become a top drivability diagnostician .

Why does my dashboard gauge not work on my Nissan Maxima 1998
I may need more info? If none of gages on instrument cluster work, check voltage and ground circuit. Not only check the fuse, check the fuse circuit for voltage, use test lite to check for voltage, the fuse on the left is hot all the time. The one in middle goes hot with key on. The fuse on the right appears to be for cluster lamps. The ground wire for instrument cluster is black.
I can't rule out problem with instrument cluster, itself?
