Your description says you hear the pump running but not pumping fuel. I am wondering how you know it isn't pumping fuel?

Clearly it is possible for a pump to run and not pump fuel but that would not be the fault of the pump. That condition would most likely be caused by something in the fuel tank blocking the intake to the fuel pump.

Mostly if the fuel pump is good and heard to be running it can be assumed it is pumping fuel if fuel is there to be pumped. If there is doubt then a proper test should be carried out at the time when it doesn't start. It might be a good idea to check inside the fuel tank for dirt, water, foreign objects...

Pull out the radio and test it with speakers on the bench. You probably wired it incorrectly.

You may have air bypassing the MAF sensor (mass airflow sensor). Pull the ribbed air intake hose to the engine and bend it around and check for cracks, they crack on the bottom, if none are found you most likely have an issue with the MAF sensor. You should also have the fault codes read with a OBD2 fault code reader or have the test done by a local auto parts store like Autozone, it is free.

Brake light switch is either defective or needs to be adjusted. Probably not related to the battery being replaced.
