what engine is in it

efi engine could be anything what work /servicing has been done to the motor recently check fuel and spark is making it to the engine

if it's an automatic, find the transmission dipstick. if a manual, you have to pull out the 'add' plug on the transmission from underneath.

if all you did was this...and and put a new battery in and still wont start...if you have went thru your plugs..wires..distributor..ignition coil...made sure your getting spark..if not..check your relays and fuses..preferebly one that deals with spark and timing for injectors..if everything is fine to that point...then try a crankshaft position sensor...it tells the pcm timing for fuel injectors and fire to the ignition coil...hopefully this helps.

There are two fuses that power the main relay, which powers the injectors and the computer.I would check that relay first.

Timing belts don't squeak unless they are worn out or one of the belts idler pulleys is bad or the tensioner is bad. You never adjust the timing belt unless it is new. PERIOD.

The battery is located in front of ur car and it is under the hood next by the engine.

yes thanks to ford [fix or repair daily ] the valves have had a knock ,could be connecting rod shortend by impact ? but sadly i would say valves ,easy repair get a compression test first thow .

• Yes you can retrieve the ODB codes. This one is not under the dash like so many. This one is under the hood. I am going to post a video that explains this is full for you. Your car does have a check engine light. So when you connect the key as shown then you will turn your ignition to on (not running) and count the flashes. The flashes will go in sets. Make sure to have paper and pen ready to write the number of flashes down. The video will explain this too.

the transmission may still be rescued I had this problem before find the band adjustment adjust it to 1/2 turn try to do this first, also these are notorious for the transmission transducer to leak internally pull the hose is it wet in there if it is replace it, try the simple approach to solve the fix before somone says its mechanical and internally damage
