Engine coasting in an automatic. Reduced air flow through radiator. Water tilted away from the water pump (possibly). Check cooling fan operation, check thermostat, check coolant level, all on flat ground.

Overheating seems to be an issue

Low transmission fluid, or a bad sensor, is my guess.

I tidied up your question a bit. Merry Christmas :>)

I have no personal experience but I have read how some computerised cars, especially those called mini hybrids, have to be told when some components are replaced, in particular the battery, using dedicated diagnostic equipment.

Whether this applies to your vehicle or not, it would seem replacing the battery has upset the electronics/software and hopefully no damage has been caused - there is always the possibility of a damaging voltage surge when changing a battery...

It is possible restoring the defaults will provide a cure - not sure about your car but earlier models could be restored by disconnecting the battery for a few hours. I used to just leave them overnight, though it is possible diagnostic equipment might be needed.
There is the possibility the current problem is coincidentally a completely separate fault and again diagnostic equipment will be the first step to a diagnosis...

is there something blocking it, if not it could be a stripped gear, do you hear any noise while opening? Does it close okay? if you have a local library card you can access the Chilton's DATA Base for free.

I think these are a 'Hook Out' light fitting. Look closely at the clear lense the light shines through. There should be a small slot in one end. Using a small screwdriver gently lever the whole light fitting out. This should give you access to the bulb holder in the back of the light fitting.
If There is no slot you might need to unbolt the plastic trim they are fitted into from the inside of the door panel. Small nuts about an 8 or 10mm.

Pushing in is reset. There is no open closed.

the reset sequence is, first ensure engine and ignition key are off. Then press the button in and release then turn the key only to the first position, wait a few seconds then turn the key back to the off position again

Only then is the fuel reset

Hopefully this was helpful

Sorry I know nothing about them other than the warnings I read in the trade press about working on hybrids and the main advice is don't!
Basically, they are more wheeled self-propelled computer than traditional car and it can be dangerous to work on them without following the safety precautions to the letter and there is little that can be done without dedicated diagnostic equipment and lots of knowledge...

Good luck!

Have you disconnected the battery recently?

Immobiliser issue.

A small coolant leak can travel a long way along seams and edges before falling and they often aren't easy to trace - adding a leak seeking dye to the coolant and searching with an ultraviolet light makes things much easier especially when access is difficult.

There is often a core plug (freeze plug) at the rear of cylinder heads and the rear of the block behind the flywheel/flexplate.

New MAF and Throttle body. ECM thinks it is talking to old one perhaps. Disconnect battery overnight and try again. Make sure the key is on the ignition and wait 5 minutes for the ECM to initialise. Did you use OEM MAF and Throttle Body. Cheap MAF are notorious for being faulty new. Make sure the connectors are good and tight and clicked in.

When does it try to start by it's self ? All the time ? Have you had any water leaks around the windshild ? You say last rainy season is when this started to happen , I would look at the central junction (fuse) box under left side of dash for water intrusion. Fuses 20 & 21 . Starter electrical circuit wiring diagram shows both of these fuses can supply battery voltage to the starter relay . 21 is a 15 amp fuse , 20 is a five amp fuse . 21 would get battery voltage when you turn the key to the start position . Both feed circuit 325 to the transmission range sensor ,from there circuit 1093 feeds to the starter relay . Battery voltage on that circuit would energize the starter relay turning on the starter an spinning the engine over . There are four connectors that circuit goes through , c172 , c182 , 158 an c243 . You would need to know where these connectors are located on your vehicle to do voltage testing , to see where battery voltage is or where it isn't suppose to be . Lots of videos on youtube on electrical circuit testing , buy a DVOM - digital volt ohmmeter , get a service repair manual an test the circuit .
