check for the blown out fuse or read the owners manual

If you have intermittent, it's on the right. Regular is on the left. Both use the 2 fuses.

Might not be a complete set, but there are some at http://www.autozone.com/autozone/repairinfo/repairguide/repairGuideContent.jsp?pageId=0900c15280053ea4

You will have to register to get the link to work, but registration is free and you can see a lot more about your car besides the wiring.

hi Mark, this could be a few things, first off, is the clutch ok? sounds like the clutch may be slipping, if that is ok, there could be a fault with the MAF ( mass air flow sensor ) have you got the engine light on the dash? this also could be a fuel flow problem, you don't say what type of transit it is, ie petrol or diesel if its petrol it might be the injector system may need cleaning or the injectors are not getting enough fuel to them, fuel pump distribution may be low, check fuel filter make sure its not blocked, if diesel you might have a collapsed cat or a restriction in the exhaust, fuel pump timing could be out, glow plugs not heating up enough so not burning fuel properly there's a few things to be looking at hope this helps , if you find it please post your findings to me thanks

online manuals are fee-based and very large download, then you have to view on PC. best to just buy a "hard" copy at a parts store that you can carry out to your vehicle

Are you sure your idle ports ( size of pinhole) in carb aren't plugged with something? What happens if it starts to die, and you give it a quick squirt of WD-40 , down throat of carb?

Ford LTD Cars &... | Answered on Sep 01, 2010

Sounds like water in gas. Hope this helps.

Ford LTD Cars &... | Answered on Aug 13, 2010

this is either a loss of vacuum from the engine to the AC control switch or a defective switch, nothing else causes the condition, find the vacuum storage canister under the hood and see if it has engine vacuum present

Are you restoring a cars vinyl top? It is VERY costly to have one replaced, upwards of $1500. Here's how to do it for a song! Remove the old vinyl top by scraping and cutting. Remove the window trim if necessary. Prepare the surface of the cars top by sanding as if you were going to paint it. You don't need to primer paint it. Go to your local parts store and by a spray on truck bed liner kit. Some can be bought for as little as $99. Mask and protect all areas of the car you don't want to be covered with liner. Apply the liner to the top just as per directions on the kit, as if you were applying it to a truck bed. Allow to dry thoroughly. The result is a beautiful 'Vinyl' looking top that is almost bullet proof and will last ten times longer than vinyl. Cost; about $150 and an afternoon. I used this method on a 1978 Ford LTD II I restored. It took 2nd place in a car show! I listed this under Ford cars, but it works on all cars! Good luck! You're gonna' LOVE the results!-- 8-)
