Temperature sensor location
The temp sensor for the computer and the sensor for the gauge should be near the thermostat housing depending on the year and engine size.
Electric window will go up but not down
either your switch or window motor have gone bad. remove switch and using a test light with ignition key on test power coming out of switch by pushing window switch up and touching wire on switch it should light the test light ( wire on test light must be grounded I like to hook it on parts where door opens to get a good ground) than test down on switch by pushing switch down and touching wire on switch again it should light test light . If it lights when switch is pushed up and down switch is good and motor is bad .if switch will not light when pushed down but does light when pushed up replace switch . if this was helpful please leave me good feed back
Dome lights will not turn off
There are a few possibilities. First, the Dome light usually has 3 settings on its own switch located in the Dome light case. One position is full OFF, another position is by Door opening, and the final position is FULL ON.If these settings do not help, then you must have a bad doorjam switch or a grounded wire. When the door switch is pushed in by the closing of the door, the plunger in the stem of the door switch is suppose to separate the wires. If the switch is cracked within the door frame opening, the wires may not separate and break the connection. You would need to remove the doorjam switch and BEFORE you removed the wires tape something to the wires to prevent losing the wiring loom in the frame of the body.Another potential reason for the Dome light staying ON is the headlight switch. Turning the light switch beyond the full dash brightness limit will MANUALLY turn on the Dome light. Check to see if the light switch is turned too far.
Much cost replace starter
Sounds like the neutral safety switch. The switch is usually mounted on the steering column near the floor. You may be able to crank the engine in neutral instead of park when the problem occurs.
My 1966 Tbird C6 downshifts too soon. What is the purpose of the vacum hose to the ******?
It's nice to hear about the good ole days. You likely have a vacuum leak, and it doesn't necessarily have to be at the modulator. Vacuum loss anywhere on the engine will result in no, or insufficient vacuum to the modulator. I remember the vacuum motor that controlled the "Hide-away" headlights would develop a vacuum leak and cause shift problems. The modulator may be faulty and the easiest way to find out is by pulling the hose of the modulator, if ATF runs out of the hose then the modulator is faulty. The kickdown may also be stuck. This is the metal rod that goes from the carburetor linkage to the transmission. The rod should move up and down freely at the transmission.
