1990 f-250 truck has sat alot the clutch wont
This happens to many cars that sit too long. The clutch plate has probably stuck to the flywheel. Just put the transmission in neutral and with engine and brake off, try rocking the car back and forth. If alone, be sure that you are not on a hill, because when the clutch breaks loose, the car will roll freely.

Check the Relay first, mounted on the fender. Make sure it has power to it, and make sure the wires are all hooked up to it. It will look like this--->
Then if that's all working properly, you need to look on the engine for the Glow Plug Controller - It should look something like this--->
If the relay has power going to it, then I would suspect the Glow Plug Controller - You will have to test them both, because your looking at paying $120 to $200 for just that Controller.

when installing an aftermarket radio, you will have a wiring harness with the new radio. you will have to buy seperate an adapter harness for the vehicle you are putting the new radio in. these wires are usually labled. Just match the colors with colors. watch for solid colors and the wires with stripes on them. The solid ones are positive and the one with stripes are grounds. Its pretty self explanitory once you start doing it

Glow plug setups usually have a relay to handle the high current required to power the glow plugs. This relay could be faulty, preventing operation. It may be possible to swap a relay from another circuit to isolate the problem.
I just bought a 1986
Hi,
I would recommend disconnecting your glow plug relay if you are going to use starting fluid.
With starting fluid in the engine and the glow plugs turn on it may explode the fluid and do head damage. Starting fluid and any kind of ignition source ( hot glow plug ) is like a bomb.

Broken Timing Chain. If you do this repair yourself it is not too expensive. If you have never done one you may need to get some loaner tools at Autozone or Oreillys. Or you can call for estimates and see if the shop will throw in a free tow or use an Autoclub or Insurance Tow benefit.
The Timing chain cover is the housing in front of the block. You will need to pull the crankshaft pulley off to get the housing apart. There is a large bolt holding the pulley on and sometimes you need a pulley puller to remove the pulley. The Water pump and several brackets will have to be moved out of the way. If the Distributor goes through the front cover, the Distributor will need to be pulled. When you align the timing marks on the 2 gears, you will need to reinstall the Distributor with the rotor pointing to Number 1 cylinder.
When you need to remove the crankshaft seal, do it after you clean off the gasket. You want to look at the ridges on the seal. Yours may be possible to install backwards, yours may or may not be that type.
Put a little lubricant on the seal, remember to align the timing marks and put some lube on the chain. Sometimes it helps to use different colors of paint to keep the waterpump and timing cover bolts in their proper position. Some bolts are different lengths and the motorblock and housing have matching thickness. You can use cardboard and make a rough outline of the bolt pattern and insert the bolts into the cardboard while you are disassembling the motor.
Starter will not disengage
Either the ignition switch is faulty and keeping the solinoide engaged or the solinoide contacts are burnt keeping the starter engaged
