1999 ford contour with DOHC 2.0L motor. Need to find timing marks on crank and cams
It is only advised to do the timing belt with these special tools. For best results, I strongly suggest paying an experienced professional to do this procedure.
Turn crankshaft clockwise. #1 & #4 cylinders are at (general) TDC when the woodruff key is straight up.
I have to say, this is not a job for someone who is not fully prepared. The system will only vary the timing 2 deg and this IS an INTERFERENCE ENGINE. Meaning, there will be catastrophic engine failure if the marks are misaligned, if the belt breaks or if the removal and installation service procedures are not strictly adhered to.
So, here is enough information to get you in real trouble ( in my opinion).

SE model. Is there a fuse or a relay for overdrive?
No, if you have no overdrive, it's likely to be the solenoid, or an internal problem with the transmission such as burnt out clutch disks for 4th gear, or the servo. In those cases, a rebuild is in your future.

How do I remove the rear seat in my 1999 Ford Contour?
It is held down by spring wire clips. Just push in on them really hard and the seat will release. Run a screwdriver under seat to locate the spring clips. The seat back just unbolts and lifts up and out.

Replace power brake booster
unbolt the master cylinder from the booster and remove from it carefully so you don`t damage the brake lines. undo the vacume hose from booster. disconnect the brake pedal from the booster rod. unbolt the 4 mounting bolts for the booster. these maybe located under the dash where they come through the firewall, if not on the outside of the firewall. remove the booster.

Rear frame rusted...can it be fixed and it is a safely issues until its fixed?
Your talking spring mounts and or stabilizer mounts on the body. Or maybe stabilizers themselves. No this is not safe, especially with stop and go driving. If it is the tubing on the body, it need s fixed ASAP. you can use sheet metal and bend it to form the body. Drill it and the body and use 1/4 inch rivets to hold it together. Go at least six inches beyond the rust on each side. Use 4 to 6 rivets per side.

Where is the starter
jack up the vehicle and place it safely on jack stands go to the back of the motor where the transmission mates to it and you will see it there fitted into a recess in the transmission bell housing
there's a whole bunch of views for you to see it make sure you put the cables on the same way you took them off

I have a 1999 Ford Contour...last night I my gas light came on and on my way to the gas station my car cut off on me...I put gas in the car but it still won't start. It cranks and everything and no ot
you may have a blown fuse check them first and the relay for the fuel pump just swap it with a new one if those are good spray starting fluid into the throttle body if the car runs the fuel pump went bad if you ran out of gas each time that happened it did damage to the fuel pump because the gas cools off the fuel pump while it operates so on an old car that's 16 years old if it happened a few times in it's life span it did damage each time this also could be just from age related failure but when you get a new pump always keep enough gas in the tank so it will keep the pump cooled off the pump is an electrical motor and they generate heat from operation the gas keeps it cold when the pump gets to hot it has to shut down for safety reasons to avoid an explosion and it fry's itself the other thing that could be wrong is you had a lot of dirt in the tank & the filter is clogged up check all the simple things first before you spend$$$$$$ for a fuel pump
