Do you feel it in the steering wheel? if so it could be the intermediate steering shaft. If not it could be a sway bar link or bushing.

Check and clean the brake switch, look near the top of the brake pedal arm you will see a switch remove it, clean it, replace it. If issues are still there check your wiring for good connections, recheck fuses in car and under the hood.

I believe ford calls that, { power point}, note the fuses. Not only check the fuses, check fuse circuit for voltage, hot all the time, use a test lite. The battery junction box is under the hood, Hopefully the fuse box cover tells you which fuse is which. Your owners manual should have this info.

try relapsing the switch inside the female of the seat belt

Tighten your batt terminals at both ends batt side nwere it goes fuse box n alternator,ground its very important, last but not least the alt belts

I would go to a major auto parts store that has scanners and get a free scan. Since it will either show you the specific part or a group of parts, you will know more after the scan.

This could be a sign that the battery is going bad. Has it had a new battery?

I had the same problem on my 03 ford sport trac. Come to find out my valve cover gasket was leaking oil into the exhaust. I didnt believe it at first but my catalytic converter(s) got plugged. It gave no codes.

In an emergency, you should be able to shift out of park if you unlock the key switch but don't turn the key to the on position. Could be a problem with the key switch or several other components.

Most likely cause is a bad brake light switch not releasing the shift lock solenoid. Replacing the switch is fairly inexpensive.
