Did you check the timing belt?

I think you mean they are missing. You can purchase a "brake hold down kit" at any auto parts store which will include the springs. The kits usually cost about $15.

Check belts and do a test on altenator. May need to replace the altenator. But test it first by running the car and disconnecting your positive wire from battery. Or it could be as simple as your power steering level it self could be low.

I had exactly same problem. I could not use my GPS or charge my cell phone.
In front of the driver sit, there are actually 2 fuse boxes. You probably found the first one. A second one is located above well hidden. Once you find it, you'll find the fuse you are looking for.

El switch del stop light esta en el pedal del freno, arriba de donde le pisas para frenar. Con una lampara de mano, asomate y lo vas a ver. ese switch a veces se queda muy cerca del pedal y no se activa. Desconecta la coneccion electrica y desatornilla el switch. una vez afuera, connectalo de nuevo en la clavija y presionalo. si se apaga la luz del stop, el switch esta bueno, si no se apaga, cambialo. Cuesta $11 aqui esta una foto.

you mention replacing the discs/pads. how long ago? the fault described is usually caused by warped brake discs as you mention it comes on the onset of braking. i advice replacing the discs.

check the cable running frm ur shifter to your trani it is common for them to break

if it's a four cyl engine then it's the first plug on the passenger side of the car.

the first thing i will recomend you, is ti buy the new rotors first,
sisnce you did not mention if you allready have the new ones
and see if they are slide out type rotorss or one piece rotor assy
with the lugn nuts, sometimes they just slide out but sometimes you need to remove the center big nut in order to remove them.
