I recommend you stay with the 10w40. It' more important that you keep diligent and change the oil at 3,000 miles or 3 months!

Each cylinder has its own fuel injector. If the pin hole size orifices that deliver fuel into the cylinder are gummed up or have deposits in or on them, then the fuel will be introduced into the cylinder as a stream or other unacceptable spray patterns instead of a conical shape. Only possible thing would be ground wires. And these wires would be at the battery or engine the body grounds,.. Check all of them. Severall in the engine compartment, in the cabin area there are several, most likely near the kick panels on each side. some near the steering column. Also check the grounds from the from the components to the truck frame.

Sorry to say but if you have airbags and they lifted it without turning them off they probably damaged one or both. Take it back!!!!!!

Not sure if lock has solenoid or electric motor, but either way, can you hear clicks or any prominent sounds from the door whilst trying to unlock it? you may need to put your ear on the door, if no sound, then wiring needs to be checked, then motor or solenoid, if you do hear similar sounds to the other door then the mechanical part of the lock mechanism has failed and may require a kit or replacement.

Do you have power to the headlights on the high beam circuit ? Have you checked the dimmer switch ?

Hello Jill, there is no easy way but droping tank all 2000 have efi, and I don't know of any access panel to get to it

Any lights can come on when you turn the key that is not what matters, the reason they come on is the computer is cycling the systems checking for faults, now if lights stay on after the car has started then you need to have it checked out as to why they are on.

All lights initially it's a quick logic check that most digital CPU's do these days on every thing from computers to copiers TV's and car dashboards..... what stays on is usually what the issue is....~~SC

Check for spark to the sparkplug. Try a shot of starting fluid as having gas pumping and having the fuel injectors opening are 2 different things. If you have spark, then the fuel injectors may not be working. Quick diagnosis is to use starting fluid and see if engine tries to run. This indicates problem is not lack of spark but lack of fuel getting into cylinders.

disconnect all fuel lines to the tank, vacuum hoses to tank and electrical connections at tank, fuel filler hose from gas cap. support the fuel tank and undo the tank straps then lower the fuel tank(it will be heavy). clean surface of tank from dirty then undo the locking ring that holds the tank unit to the tank and remove the unit. I think on this model of truck the complete unit gets changed not just the pump. assembly in reverse.

ck all fuses, then relays for engine computer and fuel pump. the red/green wire goes all over the engine to feed B+ to injectors, coils, iac, etc.
