Have you had the electronic engine control system scanned/tested for fault codes? it will need to be scanned to obtain the fault codes, this testing is key to finding out what the problem may be that is causing the engine to stall. The fault code test can be done free of charge by any Autozone auto parts store, Aamco transmission or Kragen/Oriley auto parts store. Ask for a "OBD2" (on board diagnostics generation 2) fault code test.

That is done with a special module called a J2534 ,that goes between your
vehicle & a scan tool

In most cases it is done by a dealer

Any shop with a J2534 can do it,if they are

There may be cases where you could take the PCM
& just have it flashed out of the vehicle

Flashing updates & getting your vans programs in, is
what your referring to

I have been driving Pontiac

Hello
Your OBD II scanner doesn't read the BCM (Body Control Module) and likely that is what has the fault codes in it for your present problems. At this point I suggest you get a GM dealer to scan the BCM with the special scanner (called a TECH II) required to do the check and see what shows up.

You dont need a computer. You need a new Body Control Module. Located under the center console but forward towards the dash. A very common problem with these cars. NOT A USED ONE....A NEW ONE. They are VIN specific.
