99 Bonneville hesitation when you pull off you
Have you changed fuel filter and your TPS Throttle Position Sencor is probly getting ready to stop working usually when you get a hesitation in newer cars with fuel injection its the TPS sencor or filter clogged
Car will not start no gas coming out of fuel rail
check for power to the fuel pump and pump operation. check filter condition. check for fuel in the tank (do not rely on the gauge) check for proper venting of the fuel tank as pumps will not pump if there is a vacuum in the tank
99 Bonneville no fuel from fuel rail
My first guess would be that your fuel pump has died. This is evident buy having no pressure at fuel rail. Check this way, put key in ignition and turn to on, if you hear a whurrrrr noise in back of car your pump is good, if not change the pump. I am assuming all was working before. GOOD LUCK FRIEND.
Why did oil pressure change from 40 average to 60+ at start down to 30+ at idle, after new engine was put in?
An old engine will normally show a lower oil pressure, which may be due to worn bearing, a worn oil pump or both.
A new engine with good bearings will normally show a higher pressure at revs than at idle, and a higher pressure when cold. Putting a worn oil pump back in a new engine (never a good idea without a thorough checkup on it) will modify this situation.
Just going on the readings I'd say your situation now is quite normal. You may even be able to change to an oil one grade less viscous, say 10W instead of 20W depending on your winter temps.
Is there a bearing or bushing on the shaft that the left axle slides onto on a 1999 Bonneville se?
i have been fooled by this one way to many times. when a wheel bearing or hub assesembly is making noise, it will sound like it is comming from the other side. i do not know why this is. but one test will prove if and which one. when growling noise occurs, notice, when turning left or right, does noise get louder and quieter as you turn? if so then it is wheel bearing. when turning left the right side will make more noise. when turning right the left side will make more noise. if always the same then, tires or transmission need addressing. the cv axle does not make a growling noise, unless front wheel drive car does not move, it makes a clicking or poping noise. sorry but at least you dont have to replace other axle I’m happy to assist further over the phone at
