I'm looking for a brake line diagram of all the brake lines from the EHCU to the wheels for a 1999 Ford F150 . Specifically which wheel plugs in to which port of the EHCU.
Important: Thoroughly wash all contaminants from around the electric
hydraulic control unit (EHCU). The area around the EHCU MUST be free from loose
dirt to prevent contamination of disassembled ABS components.
Disconnect the three electrical harness connectors from the electronic brake control module (EBCM).
Important: Make sure that brake lines are tagged and kept in order for proper reassembly.
Disconnect the 5 brake lines from the brake pressure modulator valve (BPMV). When looking at the brake pipe port face of the BPMV, the ports are assigned as follows:
Upper Left--Left Front Output.
Upper Middle -- Right Front Output.
Upper Right--Rear Output.
Lower Left--Master Cylinder Secondary/Front Input.
Lower Right--Master Cylinder Primary/Front Input.
Thanks. Keep updated for any more query. You can rate this solution and show your appreciation.

ford f150 overdrive light flashes

This usually means there is a transmission related fault. There is probably a error code stored, and your transmission may be in limp mode; usually 2nd gear only. I don't know if Autozone can read trans codes. This may be a dealer only repair. Have you checked your transmission fluid?

I have a '99 F150 with the 5.4 Triton. When truck is idling, it runs fine and doesnt miss a beat. But when accelerating or pulling uphill, it becomes sluggish and misses, causing the truck to shake and sputter. I am looking for common solutions, since the truck refuses to give me a check engine light, so i cant run a diagnostic on it. Was NOT expecting this when my grandad sold it to me. Any help is appreciated.

You can have very bad COP Ignition Coils without a Mil
Lamp on dash
You can also run Mode #06 on professional scan tool software,
to look at cylinder misfire counts, but need to have someone
drive it, while you look at data.
The EGR Valve or other egr items, could cause the uphill
thing, as your in a high vacuum mode & the coils will break
down as well
I wouldn't throw around the word diagnostic, as your only
looking for stored data, Generic or MFG --with a code reader
or professional scanner, that is no big deal or any computer
O2 Sensors get replaced every 100,000 miles or so,&
yours may have never been done
You obviously need to start will new spark plugs,OEM
config, not some fancy thing with prongs, they won't work
in most fords.
Make sure there is no vacuum leaks anywhere including
exhaust leaks before the converter.
Check PCV Systems is tight & works
Check TPS Voltages
Test, don't replace anything, ever, have to fail a test to
need new parts,except plugs,O2,gas & air filter.

problem codes on trans p1747 p0750 p0755 p0743
Posted by michael... on
code P1747 short or failure in EPC solenoid circuit ( EPC = electronic pressure control solenoid )
code P0743 TCC solenoid circuit failure ( TCC = torque convertor clutch solenoid )
code P0750 SS1 solenoid circuit failure ( SS1 = shift solenoid 1, first gear )
code P0755 SS2 solenoid circuit failure ( SS2 = shift solenoid 2, 2nd gear )
check the wiring harness going to the transmission sounds like it may have come loose from the holding clamps and has gotten into the exhust it would be hard to belive that all the solenoids failed at the same time but stranger things have happened. if the wiring looks ok check the plugis on the transmission if they look ok its time to go inside the transmission.

My driver side rear door will not open any more. It sounds and feels like the bottom latch will release when I pull the handle, but the top does not.
Is there a cable that could have come loose? What kind of tool does it take to remove the handle (bolt has round indentation with a small center post sticking up). Will a sledge hammer through the window improve my chances of fixing this?
You will have to open it from the inside-Yes, I have done it and it takes about 15 min. or so.-I have also posted about 40 images, after I opened the door-In an effort to contribute a little to all the lost souls with the Curse of the F150 3rd Door issue. Hope this helps-BTW I just did this on 12/04/2011-found my particular issue-I will need a new cable, so I'll have to go to the dealer tomorrow and buy one. Also included images of the tools needed-Good Luck!

fuel pump relay location 1999 ford F150 4x4 4.6L ?? ANY ONE???
Posted by jacooper13 on
Engine Compartment fuse panel ( driver's side fender ) relay 301. Layout with numbers should be on the lid ( numbers only, not the functions ).
If you did not get an owners manual with your truck ( purchased used / lost ), you can download one from Ford in PDF format:
Makes it real quick to search for keywords.

car starts with remote car starter but will not start with the ignition key
When it will not start with the key, is this a crank no start issue ?
If you turn the key from off to run ( do not start ) does the theft light on the cluster go out ?
If not, try a different key. I am working from an assumption that the PATS key is not registering with the HEC for some reason, this is why the try another key. The remote start has a PATS bypass
Please post back with the answers to the questions, and the results of the 2nd key testing

I have replaced the shift motor and when I shift it into 4 wheel high or low, I can hear the selenoid click. It seems like it shifts into 4 wheel drive, but the electromagnetic clutch does not engage. What could this be?
