heated seats button blinks and heated seat doesnt work Hi All I just bought this 01 ram 1500 Laramie,as with the others I hit the button and all it does is blink. Any suggestions on how I can fix this myself? Its getting Really Cold up here in Wisconsin. Thanks in Advance Jim
there is a problem in the circuit...if both the low and high lights are flashing there is a short in the element. if the high light is the only one flashing there is an open n he element and if the low light is only one flashing the heated seat sensor is out of range.

The compressor will not come on, the freon level is correct, I even jumped out the low pressure switch but it wont come on .I have 8.5 volts to the electric connection is that enough to start it ?It just stopped working all of the sudden and was not come back on. Any ideas!
Check the high side ac clutch cut out switch, witch could be in back of compressor,or in a high side line.By pass the switch to see if the compressor will come on.Also the ac module could be gone out.First check the ac clutch relay,or better yet swap it out with a relay just like it,same number will be on the relay, this will tell you if it is the relay.

my ram 1500 5.2 motor gives a code p139, what is wrong?
P1391 - Intermittent loss of CMP or CKP.
Generally, this code will indicate that the crankshaft sensor is faulty. The sensor is mounted in a fixed position in the engine block. The tip
of the sensor protrudes into the crankcase at a distance of 0.05 plus
or minus 0.02 inch from the crankshaft. I would check the wiring harness for loose connections. Inspect the trigger wheel behind the crankshaft pulley and the sensor for damage. replace if needed.
If a crank or cam sensor fails, the engine will not start. both of these sensor circuits can be checked with a voltmeter or lab scope. If the sensors are receiving the correct amount of voltage and have good low-resistance ground circuits, their output should be a pulsing digital signal or voltmeter reading while the engine is cranking.
If any of these conditions do not exist, the circuit needs to be repaired or the sensor needs to be replaced. The location of the Cam shaft sensor will be mounted on the distributor. Use the sensors terminals for testing. Over 7 volts is ok, but anything below that at the sensor will indicate that the sensor wires are bad. If the voltage is low at the PCM, the PCM is suspect.

where is the fuel filter on 2001 dodge ram 1500
the fuel pressure regulator/fuel filter is located on top of the fuel tank. the fuel filter should only be changed if you suspect fuel contamination. if you need to change fuel filter/regulator you will need to disconnect the negative battery clamp from battery. then relieve the fuel pressure at the fuel rail at the test port. unscrew the cap and connect a fuel pressure gauge to port or take a few rags in one hand and a small screwdriver and press down on valve stem. if you do not have a test port then remove fuel relay marked in fuse/relay box and start engine until it runs out of fuel. lower the fuel tank and remove fuel hose to fuel pressure regulator/fuel filter.twist back and forth to remove from rubber grommet on tank. ( do not lift out more than 3 inches or you will damage the coiled tube inside the tank. remove snap ring from convoluted tube cover, slide cover down to expose the clamp to fuel pick-up tube. remove tube clamp with cutting pliers and remove regulator/filter. ( do not let the tube fall back into tank). installation is the reverse of removal.

P0455 P0442 codes 2001 dodge ram 1500
P0442 Means you have a small leak in your EVAP system. P0455 is a large leak.
The EVAP system prevents gas vapors from entering the air .
This code can be set by a leak in the lines or a clogged charcoal canister.
Most common reason is If you did not put your gas cap on all the way.
Hope this helps
