Change voltage regulator. Does the battery take a charge from a charger? If not, replace battery. If it does, then regulator is faulty. If still nothing, return alternator to place of purchase, and have it checked.

Try pulling the coil & ballast resistor & make sure they have a clean ground. Try the parts on another caaaar if available.

Go have your catalytic converter checked ....85% of the time (what you are describing ) the cause is a plugged or partial plugged exhaust system....If memory serves me correctly your vehicle has 2 catalytic converters and the most likely one to fail would be the first one right off the downpipe from manifold....Good Luck

you need to find the volt. reg. and the wires from the reg. go to the alt. the field doesn't get strait bat volt. but 13 or 14 volt isn't bad, but if your wires are rite than your reg. is bad. 18 volt is to high!!!

Start with the silly, obvious things first. Check the coils packs are the correct ones and are seated correctly. Check the wiring connectors are also seated correctly. Have you checked for spark on all of the coils? This will test to see if it is the coils themselves or further back in the ignition system. Have you had the vehicle scanned for OBD trouble codes? This will help find out if it's a sensor causing the issue. Next you need to check for voltage going to the coil packs. Check them all to make sure it isn't just one or two causing the issue. After this I would suggest getting a good Auto electrician to look at it as it could be an issue inside the vehicle's electronics.

Shock Absorbers are easy to test. Put your hand on the front of the vehicle on each side and press down and up hard and see if the body bounces. It should be hard to press down and come back up slowly and controlled. It could also be the springs, the upper mounting rusted away, worn ball joints, steering tie rod joints or CV Axle universal joints. All those need testing professionally on a lift. Are you referring to the Auxillary (Fan) belt? These usually have a spring loaded tensioner arm with an idler pulley attached to it. This usually controls the tightness of the belt when the engine is running. They are commonly held on with a single bolt. In most cases if the belt has gone slack this tensioner has failed and will need replacing. You will need to remove the belt before you can do this especially if you want to keep the skin on your knuckles. Yes, I've done that!. It's also worth replacing the belt as well while your in there then you know it's good. **NOTE** Make a drawing or take photos of the route the belt uses BEFORE you take it off.
