Overdrive doesnt work
A Google search netted this:
There is an overdrive solenoid inside the transmission that kicks the OD in and out with the switch. You could have a bad wire somewhere or solenoid is bad.

Have a '91 Dodge Dakota
If your alternator tests good off of the vehicle, but will not charge on the truck you need to make sure that the supply wire has 12V and that the field is also getting 12V. If you track it down to the ECU you can save yourself a bunch of money by having an external voltage regulator wired in and bypass the internal ECU regulator.

Fuel pump runs with key off
You have a bad fuel pump relay under the hood on driver side. The relay is stuck wich is allowing power to flow to the fuel pump. If you operate the truck like this you will burn out the fuel pump.

Dodge 318 v8 coolant leak
It could be coming from the timing cover. On older 318 engines there is a water passage on each side of the timing cover between the pump and the block. If the timing cover decays it can allow coolant to leak into the timing cover, which usually goes into the crankcase.

My 1990 dodge power RAM v8 with a 318 runs good
Start with the simple things first:
Make sure you have a clean air filter.
Change out your fuel filter.
Most of todays crappy gas is 10% alcohol and the weather is warming up.
Then if not:
Sensors and computer chip upgrades may be the issue but start simple. If you have a good reliable tune up guy take it to him and have him run the diagnostics. Any lights or codes come up??
Best wishes,
TF
