Vw 1992 oil pressure drops when warmed up
Hook up a manual oil pressure guage and take readings of the actual amount of oil pressure in the engine. It may be that the switch is bad even though it is new. It may also be that you have low enough oil pressure at idle to trip the switch. On my 2.0 liter the low oil switch turns on at 4.4 PSI at idle but when the engine is revved up it turns on below 26 PSI. You may also have 2 oil pressure switches, one for low and one for high. They would be located very close together on the oil filter housing. Make sure you replaced the right switch.
You want to get this straightened out quickly as VW engines are very unforgiving when you put off repairs. Hope this helps.
Cigarette lighter
check the fuse first .if its blown then there would be no power to your lighter.thanks jeff
I've got an standard 1.4
Your brake pedal switch is bad. It's only supposed to turn the brake lights on when you press the brakes. Have that switch replaced asap.
How do you fit a new clutch to a mk3 golf 1.4
Hi there
I have done that a long time ago and some people said you can do it in the car by undo the bolts that hold the engine and gearbox together. Undo the mounting and do it by move them away from each other. I could not do it that way. I took the engine out, clean the whole engine and gearbox and install the new clutch and pressure plate. By doing it that way you know everything is right the first time. The whole job should take only 8 ours for one man. Make sure you put a label on each wire and pipe that you remove and put it back the exact same way. Make sure about the alignment of the clutch plate and the bearing and also make sure about every bolt and nut that you put back. If you are not familiar with how tight the bolts and nut should be get a torque wrens so then you can do professional job and be proud of yourself. Good luck.
Car starts fine, but after a while when is turned
Heat normally affect electrical equipment and fluids like oil. I suspect heat soak. This happens when after shutting off the engine heat is not removed from the engine via the radiator and instead would stay in the engine and go out from all its parts, headers, intake, its block etc. When this happens check if it turns over. If not or is weaker than usual, it may be the starter which may not work properly because of the heat. Check also the relays and the ground wires. If it cranks, inspect the high tension wires and if there are sparks on the plugs.
I need to purchase a new carbeurator
No problem. Go to your local Auto Parts store and have one ordered. Where I live, this normally takes less than 2 days.
Do you have other questions about this?

My central lock is no longer functioning
If you are sure the battery on remote is working, then you can find the fuse box, under the steering wheel. Remove the plastic cover, and look on the back for the diagram to see which fuse to replace for central locking.
When I go to start my car, it turns over, but
You've had an experienced AA repair man look at your car and thoroughly check the obvious faults. May I ask why you doubt what he's told you? It's impossible to say he's wrong without also having a chance to examine the car.
It's definitely possible that he's correct though.
Just change the sensor: it costs peanuts, takes minutes and is easy to do, but you may need to drain the coolant down first (catch it in a clean bowl and re-use it if it's not all black or rusty as it's not cheap). When refilling the coolant set the heater control to hot to avoid air locks.
