Sorry no ideas here ,other than get a diesel vehicle for towing as you couldnt afford to run this vehicle here in europe at our fuel prices ,the diesel engine is cooler running so no problem with manifolds but your cruise should not be affected buy a blowing exhaust manifold the only thing affected by this would be your emmisions though as the lamba sensor will not be reading correctly which could cause more fuel to be burnt as it will read a weak mixture .I know nothing about the cruise on this vehicle as not many vehicles use it here in europe ,the roads are too short between the bends and too many vehicles on the road try driving through paris or london

Check your Inertia switch, should be located behind a kickpanel or behind glovebox. Vibrations could have triggered it. It is a good place to start looking because you can check power from fuelpump relay which connects through it to the fuelpump.Reset Inertia sensor by pushing button on it to reconnect.power.Please rate my info.

Air in the fuel lines?

My first thought might be a faulty thermostat, which regulates cold cycles and warm cycles in the engine. If the thermostat is faulty and the unable to switch to a warm loop after the engine warms up, it causes the engine to run much less efficiently. Whether or not it will cause the car to completely turn off, I'm not certain, but this might be one thing to mention to a mechanic.

Is that the only code? That is a code for the Intake air temp sensor. On the black tube from the air cleaner to the throttle body there should be a small senser. That is your Intake air temp. Sometimes those get unplugged when servicing air filters or when aftermarket parts are put on.
