Dodge dakota stalls
I have had the same problem and have a Dodge Dakota as well, the fix is very simple. Here is the cause, the automatic idle speed control valve gets sticky from fuel vapor backwash from the intake, this inhibits its ability to react quickly to changes in load on the engine (cold weather makes it worse) such as putting the truck in gear or turning on the AC. To clean the intake throttle valve and the idle speed control valve (called the IAC) do the following procedure, make sure you follow the steps exactly to get the problem fixed, then do it once a year from then on.To correct this problem get a can of throttle valve cleaner (it is made by CRC) from the local auto parts store, spray it into the air intake through the throttle body of the engine until you have used about half the can, you will need to hold the idle up while you do this, it will try to stall, after this shut the engine down and disconnect the Negative (-) battery cable for 5 minutes, restart the engine and blow the gunk out by revving up the engine several times. The intake is now clean.

No the pump and fuel filter in tank is what is causing the problem. You either have a partical restriction in the fuel filter or the pump is not putting out enough pressure to run the truck. hope this will help you.
Not throwing enough heat into cab.
check coolant level if good then check heater hoses they should be the same temperature when the car is at operating temp,if good then change the thermostat if its not the same temp then you could have a heater core that is plugging up,
2000 dakota heater core replace. does top heater
The hardest part is taking the dash out. Then you have to evacuate the AC system, and remove the box. Then you can open the box, and change the heater core. It's a pretty big job. 8 hours as a DIY
