Driver side power window switch doesn't work
Usually the wires at the hinge break but try a switch first. Or with a meter find the power and ground and jumper to the motor wires. Change the breaker/fuse in the pannel if there isn't power.
I have a 89 dodge
Sounds like a dead battery to me. Have you tried replacing it or charging it up?
Can't get fire
you should have a crank sensor that goes into the top of the bell housing . it will either be on the pass side or drivers side I believe on your year it is on pass side. if you reach back behind the intake behind the pass side head you will feel the sensor. it is held in by 1 bolt and feel the wire harness to follow and unplug it. they go bad often. and on yours you might even be able to see it if you lean over the back of the motor from pass side. it is the only sensor that goes into the top of bell housing where trans and engine go together . sometimes you have to move a few things out of your way to get to it like oil press sensor ect. and have you checked the coil? the crank sensors are pretty cheap just make sure you give the part store exact year and engine.
89 dodge d150 no fire
The pickup coil is magnetic so take a small screwdriver and place it on one of the points of the pole peice and see if it has a pull on it first. It may be that item that went bad from excessive heat. That takes away the magnetivity in the long run most of the time
1989 Dodge Ram D50, no spark. coil may be miswired.
Check the resistance on the coil. the (+) (-) side should be about 10 Ohms resistance and the part that goes out of the coil should be 1-2 ohms resistance. Get yourself an ohmmeter and check it. best way to check is to figure out what wire runs from the computer to the coil and follow the wiring all the way to the coil making sure theres no rips or shorts. If there isnt, then I would splice into the two wires and run two new wires over to the coil. If it still doesnt have spark then its a faulty computer and should be replaced. Good luck

Did you have a hard start or no start problem recently ? If you did you were dumping fuel into engine with no spark, which ends up sitting on top of the piston & eventually running down into the oil pan. If not, my guess is you have an injector(s) leaking down while sitting. Check your PCV is clean & working as well.

You can start with you ecm or points, which ever it's equipped with. Do this with a test light...switch the vehicle on, check to see if there is fire in the distributor, if not then trace your wires back to the battery. This is just a good starting point, please respond back if this isn't helpful and I'll try to go further into the vehicle. Hope this is helpful, please rate solution. Thanks
