For my 1998 Chev Venture I had the exaust system
If high mileaged could probably be a cat. But more liklly sounds like a sensor. Vibration from removal may have done something. But I wouldnt blame the shop for it. After all it is an older van
I just replaced the front pads amd rotor on my 98
Pull wheels of again & spin rotors & see where/if outside edge on back of rotor touching against spindle or anything. If you see a spot where not touching but very close, concentrate on that area & clean any rust etc off part(s) that it may be rubbing on. Sometimes rust builds up on spindle will cause a noise when you get a little movement on turns. Also be sure your calipers & pads are retracting as they should. Make sure hub was clean before rotor put on, as dirt or rust build up, will cause rotor not to run true. Finally, make sure wheel nuts tight.
I have a 2000 Chevrolet venture and the stereo is
I have to agree, you will either need to take it to the dealership to have them unlock it for you. (be sure to get a quote, as it might be excessive). It may very well be cheaper to buy a new aftermarket radio and have it installed.
and if you choose the later, do NOT let anyone tell you that the door chimes, airbag, stereo, headlights, turn signals or any other electrical equipment won't work. that's a bunch of BS someone came up with, and the rumour is spreading. GM does not run anything through the radio other then the radio!
I ran a Diagnostic on my 1998 chevy venture mini
the 2 codes are
P0134 02 Sensor Circuit no activity Detected (bank 1 sensor 1)
first check your fuses check the wiring to the sensor(the sensor is on the exhaust in front of the engine-open the hood and look down) if the fuses and the wiring look good replace the O2 sensor there are 2 types of sensors original equipment(oe) style and universal the oe style has a connector you just plug in, the universal you have to hard wire in
the 2nd code is Mass Air Flow (MAF) Circuit Low Input
check the wireing, make shure theres a good connections
you said that you already replaced this sensor so im going to recomend that you go after the other code first
deal with the oxygen sensor then reset the computer and see what codes come back

1998 chev venture
There is a nylon strap that gears will run to move the window up and down. If the strap breaks or it is no longer connected to the window then the motor will keep working but the window will not move.
Best thing to do is go to a auto windshield replacement shop. They have all the tools and extra parts need to fix the problem. If you take it to the dealer, that will just call a auto glass shop to come in and fix it and charge you the mark up.
After removing the door panel to see what part you need to replace and running around to order the part and extra clips for the door panel that always break, not to forget lots of band aide. There will be blood, alway's blood when working on door panels. Some things are worth the two hours of service.
Good luck and keep me posted if you need instructions to removing the door panel. If there is an Auto Zone the sell the nylon strap and parts needed for your door and can give the step by step instructions too.
I think maybe my TPS is gone in my 1998 venture
You should really have the van scaned before you put any more parts on it. Autozone will scan it for free. You could spend alot of money just putting parts on it. If you can come up with a code/DTC for your problem then let me know and I will be better able to help you. Good Luck
My 98 chevy venture overheats
Sounds like the old Dex-Cool problem. Check the level of the coolant in the radiator "not" the overflow bottle. If the intake or head gaskets haven't cooked yet you may be ok. Fill the radiator to its filler neck, remember to let the air out of the system by opening the bleeder screw located on the plenum inlet hose just forward of the radiator cap. Replace your radiator cap ! Make sure the return hose from the radiator overflow bottle is not kinked. Finally check your oil fill cap to make sure your not foaming from water in the oil.
If you're lucky you may be fine with this relatively cheap fix, otherwise you're looking at gaskets. Good Luck !

Our 1998 Chevy Venture is overheating. All fluids okay.
if you are not sure if it is the fan motor you can disconnect the plug to the fan and run a jumper wire with a positive and ground from the battery to the fan plug and it it comes on than the motor is good. and you have a bad wire or sensor. and one easy fix for that would be to get a toggle switch put it in the cab and run wires to a power sorce and then to the fan wires. i have done it once so you would have to keep an eye on the temp and turn the fan on manually. that would be a cheap and temporarily fix

Van died thought it was out of gas put gas in it
Three possible issue here. One, the fuel pump may be faulty and inoperable. Two, the fuel filter may need to be changed due to clog. Last, there may be a voltage issue with the current that is directed to the fuel pump causing a weak stream.you should have 14 volts going to this fuel pump. if its lower than that, it wont pump properly.also, there can also be water in the tank or bad gas. I suspect a dirty fuel filter and faulty fuel pump possibly.
