Check erg and purge valves to make sure they are not stuck open. Also test the throttle position sensor. Is the engine light on?

take too shop, that rebuilt the tranny. see if they cant do a better job. they may tell you the problem. lol.

May be a freeze plug going bad

Did he have the new computer "flashed" for the VIN of the vehicle? This must be done in order for the computer to work properly for that vehicle. If it was, I would check of course any plugs that might have been forgetten (I'm an ASE Certified Tech and thought I did at times but have missed things) and also check for any fuses that may have been blown. Anything could have touched a hot wire or even reconnecting the battery (which I hope he disconnected before hand) could have caused a power surge and "popped" a fuse. That's where I would start. knock sensor is in the engine block right side close to oil pan. round looking sensor bolts on.

you can here it,,,just,,,,but you will fell it more,,try going into top gear at say 30mph hold your foot hard down and keep it hard down wate till the engine revs up to about 2000rpm and if the turbo is working right at about 2000rpm the car will pick up its feet and start flying like a home sick angel
my advice is leave the turbo boost be,,you will only use more fule up and start blowing off pipes or split the intercooler,,,,and thats pricy

The filter is located in the valley of the engine next to the firewall. It has a black plastic ring that will snscrew to take the top off of the canister. It will have a black 1" plastic air vent on the cap to bleed the air out when a new filter is installed.

Try changing the spark plug on that cylinder,and then the cap and rotor and wires if needed.It is most likely the problem.If this was at all helpful,please rate,thank you.

catylist efficiency below threshold ( p0420 ). heres a probable fix. go to http://repairpal.com/obd-code-p0420----- this will tell what may be wrong as not to replace parts that are not bad.

I suspect that either you have a fuel pump or fuel filter problem

ok there is 2 vehicles listed here lol a chevy c2500 and a blazer. i will explain both
the c2500 just got to remove glove box and it is behind there.
the s-10 blazer you got to move the cpu, the coolant tank for more room then youll see the outline trace you have to cut the cover off along the dotted lines. then change motor. now there is 2 options you can do to put cover back on there is clips you can buy made just for this or you can use a bead of silicone to and pretty much glue it back on. but ill tell ya the clips make is so much better and if your not good with cutting the cover it will never look right glued back in and will never hold and fall off.the clips are cheap at any auto parts store.

Check the fuel pump to make sure it is working, check fuel pump fuse(s).

Check your bank 2 plugs for colour (do they look hot like they running hot ). Check you EGR Exhaust Gas Recirculation valve (looks like a 80mm diameter spaceship with a vacuum line to the top of it) If this remains closed the engine runs very hot and causes misfire. Possible causes are EGR not opening are 1) perforated diaphragm 2) encrusted valve stem 3) clogged exhaust gas feed pipe. A quick check for function: run the engine and remove the vacuum tube. The engine note should change as the tube is connected and then disconnected. Also pushing on the underside of the EGR with your fingers to lift the diaphragm to open the valve should also result in change in engine note. If its not working just disassemble the EGR and clean with carb cleaning spray, also clean the exhaust gas feed pipe likewise.
