Hi,

First I would have the system checked for proper charge. If it is a little low this can be one symptom. Another is loss of voltage to the compressor from the control head. Another possible reason is the ac clutch coil may be getting hot and then opens. When this happens the compressor is off. Once it cools a little then it resumes.

Those are the first steps in action to address your problem.
If problem still remains, then follow the below Guideline :-

I would check your a/c drain tube for a blockage, at least partial. What you have described is a freeze up of the evaporator. If the condensation can't escape the heater box quick enough it will form ice on the evaporator and stop airflow over it. It will then have to thaw for a while before it will work again.

Chevy 2500 reverse not working

Hi.. first you need to check the Transmission fluid level.Check if shift inthe rest of gears.If do, Maybe you have an internal mechanical problem.I recomend to go to any Autorepair shop to get a diagnostic.Some of them don't charge for diagnostic.I hope this help on your questionThank you for use fixya..

1989 Chevy k2500 5.7 when driving my truck it just

Hello and welcome to FixYa!

Try to start on the spark plugs. If the plugs have big gaps, full of carbon, corroded or just faulty the car may shut off. You'll have better fuel burning once the plugs are replaced.

Paint chipping off my 2008 chevrolet silverado.

I have a 2009 Silverado 2500HD with approx 12k miles. I also have excessive paint chipping. It is mostly on the lower areas of the body. I also have several chips on the hood and other areas. I took it to 2 different Dealers and was told GM would not cover it. The body shop manager at one dealership stated it was the worst he had ever seen but that was as far as it went. I then called GM Customer Service direct and told them about the problem and what the body shop manager said. They said they would contact the Dealer and get back to me. After a couple weeks went by, I received a call back from GM Customer Service and was told it was an environmental issue (rocks) and not defective paint, therefore it was not covered under warranty. I live in NM and have only driven on paved streets and highways. I have owned Ford & Toyota trucks in the past and have never had paint issues. This was my 1st GM. After spending 50K on a truck you would expect it would have quality paint. This will be the last GM product I purchase. I also filed a complaint online with CAS but never heard back.

I have an 89 chevy

the reason the injectors stopped is because the motor is not running.this is a safety precaution built into the computer so the engine won`t flood.if the fuel pump is not working then you will have to check powers and grounds at the fuel pump connector by the gas tank to see if the unit is getting fed power and ground.someone will have to try to start the car while you check this out as there is a 2 second prime circuit if the car is not turning over.also this system uses the distributor to know that the engine is turning over to start.you may have a bad pickup coil in the distributor.this system also grounds the injectors through the ecm so you should have power to the injectors when the ignition is turned on,for your information.

I have a1989chevroletpick up 350

There are a few things that can do that. I'd check the timing (that engine likes about 8 degrees advance) Check the timing chain as well: Remove the distributor cap and turn the engine by hand. Start at 0 degrees on the timing tab. Turn in the normal rotation direction 'till the rotor starts to move, then turn backwards and measure the amount of travel before the rotor starts to move again. Anything more than 4 to 6 degrees of slack is too much.(less is better) If the chain stretched, it will throw off the cam phasing giving the carburetor a low vacuum signal and causing stalling when even slightly loaded. If bad, change the top gear (use a steel replacement) and chain. Lower gear is usually good.
Another item to check is the egr valve. If it leaks it will contaminate the intake charge and also cause problems. A partially failed ignition coil can also do that but they don't fail very frequently.

I would think not......the pan can only hold so much, the rest would simply occupy the filler tube and give you a more than full reading

It may be a sticky lifter if intermitent
