This is caused by the pressure. There are tongs that are on it in a circle. They are spring loaded. When one or some are weak or a spring has broken you will get a pulsating feeling in the pedal

Sounds like your in trouble. Probably needs replaced or an overhaul. I can only go by your description, but it does'nt sound good. Best Wishes, TJ

All bleeding is done at each caliper and wheel cylinder. The proportioning valve has no bleeder. The proportioning valve makes the front brakes engage before the rears do to prevent the rear brakes from causing a sideways skid.
