Flywheel bolt size
I'm thinking here that the head of the bolts is not very thick in which case the socket you are using will need some modification. If you look in the socket you will see that there is a small lead in relief and this will only allow the socket to full engage on 1/2 of the bolt head. Place the socket in a vice and use a grinder to grind of the face of the socket until the sides are square across. This will give full contact with the bolt head inside the socket.. Another point, it is unusual to find metric bolts in a USA made engine so check out the other size metric sockets as European metric use 9-11-13-15-16-18-20 mm sizes compared to Asian 10-12-14-17-19-21 mm. in auto production.

Engine wont start
check that the ignition fusible link is intact. There may be an inertia switch that has shut down as it would recognise the spin out as an accident. Check with a service centre of an accredited auto electrician

Crank sensor?.
with cam/crank position sensors there is an air space adjustment, dirt between the cam sensor and loose rotor problems that have to be checked . BY loosing and moving the sensor you may be reducing the air gap . placing contaminant in the gap or moving a rotor. Check it out and if ok run the fault codes to confirm a faulty sensor.
