Can i hot wire a 2004 suburban?
No. the ignition switch is not at the key its down the column at the switch which is activated by a rod. You can do it there but i would not. just call a key guy and save yourself a lot of money. If you do the wrong wires you can do a lot of damage.
Hope this helps. Mike
No heat on drivers side
You will have to unbolt the seat and check the actual wires. It is common that the ground or one of the other wires are burt. You may need to just splice it and repair it. This is providing that you checked all obvious possibilities, such as the fuse and make sure you check to see that you are getting power to the positive wire after you remove the seat as well.
How to replace the gas filter on a 2003 chevy suburban
get under car and look from tank for line that goes to front engine, there will be a round piece on the fuel line- don't get mixed up with brake line that goes to wheel- replace round fuel filter about 3 inches long- two nuts on either side - use two wrenches and loosten- replace in same fashion
Four wheel drive wont engage
If you have push button 4-Wheel Drive, it is recommended that you use it every once in a while, in order to keep gunk, rust, and corrosion to build up on moving parts. The mostly likeley (though not definite) reason would be that you let the 4-wheel drive unused for so long that corrosion has built up on the parts and the actuator that engages the 4-Wheel Drive doesn't have the power to engage it past the corrosion.
You'll need to take it in to be cleaned, or to have parts replaced. In the future, every month or so, engage 4-Wheel Drive and drive around in some mud, grass, sand, or any other loose ground for a bit, just to keep the parts moving and clean.
The service Four wheel drive light is to alert the operator the system is not being read properly by the ECU.
If the ECU loses contact with or position of the Transfer case actuator motor the service light will come on. Same thing goes for the front diff actuator.
So it may be a bad switch, sensor, or an actual problem in the 4WD linkage. This is not a Oil Change light that you can ignore a few extra weeks - it indicates a problem that should be taken care of ASAP to avoid costlier problems down the road.
Thanks for using FixYa - a FixYa rating is appreciated!!
Fuse box
Start by checking the TBC fuses in the door jamb fuse block. As far as I can see, that is where the inadvertant power bus picks up power which is what the lights feed off of. Good Luck.
