Will the power lock work from the passenger side button? If it does, its just your switch assembly. Hth.

I think that you have a defective starter solenoid, this the part that is mounted to the top of the starter.

I think your ignition lock cylinder is worn out. They're not that hard to replace and yours is a domestic vehicle so your local auto parts store should have the part on hand.

It will be the same as auto trans fluid, Dexron III or similar

Sounds like the wires in the column or on the switch are melted together.

check them with a noid light, if the light blinks then the ecu is good, also check the wiring harness to the injectors.

Have you run a fuel pressure test? have you run a system fault code test?

i think your alternator reg is going bad man. take it to autozone and have it tested as well as the battery before it leaves you stranded. i hope that helps have a good one
