1994 Chevrolet Lumina - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
No fuel injectors, intermittently
With the key on, do you have voltage at fuel injector, use a test light?
Engine cranking do you have spark at the spark plugs? I'm just trying to see if you have more than one problem? I don't know how much testing you have done?
Is there a purple wire with white tracer at ignition module, Engine cranking, there should be a dc pulse on that wire? If not, the computer won't ground the fuel injectors. In my opinion.
1994 Chevrolet Lumina 3.1 will not start - after
Had friend put OBD diagnostics to it and error code indicated fuel pump ????? No code indicates replacing any part . Indicates testing ! pressure and flow testing , voltage drop testing the electrical circuit etc... There is a check valve in the fuel pump assembly that is suppose to keep pressure in the fuel lines an fuel rail . When the check valve goes bad allows fuel to drain back into the tank. Try turn the key on an off a few times to build up pressure . The PCM energizes the fuel pump relay for two seconds at key on .
94 cheve lumina 3.8 lit
According to my database, you have no map sensor on this vehicle, but, you do have a maf sensor. The maf sensor is connected to throttle body. Your inlet air duct probably clamps to maf sensor.
Chevy lumina 1994 wont start smells like gas
Could be flooded out.Try starting it again with the gas pedal to the floor. Everytime you turn the key on, it shoots gas in the engine. When you try to start it, keep doing it for 20 to 30 seconds. Then let off. wait a couple minutes and do it again.
Starts but won't keep running then won't start
Check your Fuel Pressure and if that is good (over 40 psi)then check your Idle Air Control (IAC) Valveand seeing that it is a Mid-90's Chevy.. MAF Sensor is going bad. If you UNPLUG your MAF and see what happens.... MAF is in the Air Intake with a 4 wire...
How do you change a altenator on a 94 chevy lumnia z34
Alternator is located on the passenger side under the engine. It is hard to get at because it is between the engine and the passenger axle. Disconnect the battery then the wires to the back of the alternator. Remove the serpentine belt then remove the bolts that hold the alternator to the engine.
Poor Traction
Worn out seals in the master brake cylinder or air in the brake line or one or more brake shoes at a wheel are used up and the week brake cylinder is fully extending past it's usual travel length. Last thing is rear brakes may be out of adjustment. Try backing up several times applying the brakes to stop, this should adjust the rear brakes. Cars require maintenance.
