Well you fix it yourself then. You will need axle stands, an ebay diff and a weekend. I did this job on a Toyota Estima 4x4. Get stuck in there :-)

your new distributor could be 180 degrees out from when you put it in just a thought !!

For the load side of relay, comes from fog lamp fuse. Voltage for control side of relay comes from fog lamp switch which gets voltage from headlamp switch.

this generation of gm vehicles is easy to troubleshoot. the engine needs 3 things to run: compression, fuel, and spark. since you mention fire, i assume you have no spark.

disconnect any random spark plug wire and connect the end to a hei spark tester. crank engine and observe for spark. if you have no spark, disconnect the center terminal of the distributor cap and use the hei tester in the same manner. spark means cap and rotor bad or bad plug wireset. no spark means make more checks.

check for battery voltage and good ground on distributor. check for open or shorted ignition module or ignition coil windings. if power and ground is present and ignition coil tests ok, check for ignition pulses at coil primary. if you have no ignition pulses feeding the coil, change the distributor.

with that generation of vehicle, the ignition system will operate without help from the computer. don't even troubleshoot the guts of the distributor, if you change the cap, rotor, and anything else, it will be the same price as a remanufactured distributor, and might not fix the problem. if you troubleshoot a low volrage related issue (no pulses, shorted or open circuit, unstable timing, etc), change the whole thing.

With engine running, put a volt meter accross battery terminals. If it reads LESS than 13 volts, your alternator is bad.

This is usually the injector pump in the intake manifold.

Under throttle body. Take a can of carb cleaner(make sure you don't have plug wires breaking down) spray under throttle body if it changes the way the engine runs you found it. Egr and pcv are other less likely. Should be getting a lean code if you got a vacuum leak

I would say it could. Especially for in town driving. It would help with the "searching for the right gear" that sometimes occurs at less than highway/open road speeds. Also for any towing or heavier loads I would recommend NOT using overdrive. For open road/highway I would use overdrive to get better MPGs. Hope this helps.

Pump is your suspect here. Fluid could have something to do with it but that can be solved by letting it warm up a bit

Code Reader or Professional Scan Tool ? Why was the distributor changed? What started all the parts replacement? Was any testing-- of anything done,BEFORE parts went in? You have no vehicle problem,details,symptoms or what problem your having an issue with TPS Sensor---does it get adjusted ? Exhaust Converter -how old & blocked? Egr --issue? Vacuum Leaks? Worn Timing Chain? Oxygen Sensor in control of fuel (Closed Loop) Engine Temp--is what when hot?

Assuming that your van is driving smoothly and your gears are shifting smoothly, start by checking your tranny fluid level. If it is low, that may be one of a few possible problems. If fluid level is fine, your speedo sensor may have a loose connection or could be going out which is what may be triggering the check engine light. I had that happen on my Jeep Cherokee. Speed sensor stopped working and the light was on constantly. Remember, if your speedometer sensor does not work, your odometer and trip meter will not turn either. Speedo sensors are not very expensive and pretty easy to change. Start with the easy tasks first: check fluids, check connections, replace sensor. If that doesn't work, get it into a shop (or talented and well tool-supplied buddy) and get a code(s) for the problems. Good luck!
