Will 195-60r15 fit on my 2001 Pontiac Montana

The original tire size is 215/70R15 and you're asking for 195/60R15. According to tire size chart, you are more than 3% diff overall size diameter. So if you drive your van at 60km/h your speedometer will read 54.1km/h. I would say no it won't fit without changing the speedometer reading. Hope it helps.

01 Montana. I tried to install a side post battery disconnect. When I did it wasn't getting any power. I had the battery and alternator checked out and they're fine.

You'll need either a mechanic, or these manuals. They have info on all diagrams, liquids, how to solve technical problems everything. My brother fixed his Ford 2-3 times himself, using these books only. Montana 1997 2005 Factory Service Workshop repair manual

2001 Pontiac Montana Rear heat blows only cold air???

The rear temp blend door is stuck in the cold position ,very common problem on vehicles with rear HVAC units . There is no valve , electric actuator ! Air Temperature Actuator The air temperature actuator is a 3 wire bi-directional electric motor. Ignition 3 voltage, ground and control circuits enable the actuator to operate. The control circuit uses a 0-12 volt linear-ramped signal to command the actuator movement. The 0 and 12 volt control values represent the opposite limits of the actuator range of motion. The values in between 0-12 volts correspond to the positions between the limits. When the HVAC control module sets a commanded, or targeted, value, the control signal is set to a value between 0-12 volts. The actuator shaft rotates until the commanded position is reached. The module will maintain the control value until a new commanded value is needed. You would need to remove the Quarter Lower Rear Trim Panel Remove the rear seats. Low/high side A/C compression reads the same

Why was the compressor diagnosed bad?Did it send anything into the system that may have blocked a line?Did you flush the complete system? I would have started the compressor by jumping the low side switch to make sure it could pull a good vacuum before adding any 134a. You may have a blocked system with debris/grindings from the old compressor? The replacement expansion tubes may be blocked now, were the old ones clean? Make sure you have good air flow through the condenser when refilling the system. Does the new compressor sound like it's working correctly? I still want to see it pull a good vacuum first.

2001 Pontiac Montana. Van overheats

Where do you hear a valve or flapper moving??? Behind the dash ( instrument panel ) It sounds to like you have a electrical problem , not overheating problem . You need to test to see what the real engine temp. is . Also have vehicle checked for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes ,Sounds like A/C is kicking on , the flaper noise you hear is probably the temp actuator inside the dash . You can buy the tool in the video at harbor freight cheap. Point it at upper radiator hose ,near the engine . The IPC illuminates the hot coolant temperature indicator in the message center when the IPC determines that the coolant temperature is greater than 128°C (262°F). The IPC receives a class 2 message from the PCM indicating the coolant temperature. Are you getting any such message ? How to Use an Infrared Thermometer to Diagnose Car Problems

I have a whistle or humming noise from the front of 05 Montana.

Put wide tape on different areas of the windshield edge as a test to see if the noise changes. Then you may know where the noise originates and can correct the noise. Just by chance,it is a wind noise? and not a front wheel bearing going bad?which is common on these vehicles and can create a humming at different speeds.Next time when the hum shows up turn the steering wheel slightly left and right at road speed and if you can change the hum,it's 99% a wheel bearing.

Door locks keep engaging while I drive.2001 Montana extended van.I leave it in the garage unlocked and come back later to find it locked. What is the problem?

most gm cars engage the door locks when the vehicle is in gear and is up to 12 miles per hour. Not aware of an ease way to prevent the locks from engaging when moving. Really can be annoying but not such a bad thing these days with car jacking and other crimes to have the doors lock.

2001 Pontiac montana 3.4 liter no crank no start

Make sure battery has a full charge and battery connections all good. Check fusible links where applicable. Pick any component that is fuse protected and doesn't work. At the fuse box, check that fuse circuit for voltage, use a test lite. Even if the fuse is good, if no voltage on the fuse circuit, the circuit is still dead. Some fuses are hot all the time, some go hot with the key on. Do any electricals work?

I have a 2001 Pontiac Montana minivan that is misfiring stalling and cutting out. I put in fuel additive thinking it might be the injectors and premium gasoline . Could this be a bad fuel filter?

It could be a timing issue (misfire) but it absolutely could also be either air or fuel filter. If it's starving for fuel, it's the fuel filter. If it's starving for air (too rich), it would also stall out and that could be the air filter. Basically, you need 4 things to make an engine work: compression, air, fuel, and spark.
