How do i check the transmission fluid
On automatic,start Nissan,leave in park,remove dip stick,wipe clean,insert back in to hole all the way and remove and check,do it twice,if manual trans.on the side of transmission,is a plug,remove and get flash light look in hole to see,if you don't see fluid,get a turkey baster and put fluid in till it comes out,do this with trans. in reverse and e- brake on and engine off.Get turkey baster at dollar store.
How do i check the transmission fluid on a 2005 pathfindererer
Start the engine ,let it warm up,move the selector lever through each gear position,set the E-brake,leave the shifter on "N"..Remove the 10mm bolt lock transmission dipstick located under the hood ,passenger side,close to the firewall.....check the fluid with the engine idle......If needed ,Do not overfill the transmission,and make sure to Use Nissan recommended ATF fluid Matic J

the VQ40 engine has 2 cam sensors, they at the back of the cylinder heads at the firewall above the bell housing. the connectors have a green lock tab that needs to be pushed into the connector then while holding the green tab in pull the connector off the sensor
