cigarette lighter has ONE wire, attached to center contact on the back end, and grounds via the case, or a wire attached to the case and the other end to the support structure of the dashboard.

If the alternator and battery are good, then clearly you have a wiring/connection issue of some sort. I'd start by checking ALL the fuses (just for surety - ask me how I know), and then if that checks out, then check the wires that connect to the alternator to see if the proper voltage signals are there. Also, be sure that the battery cable connections are good at both ends (battery terminal ends, and the ends that connect to the car), all need to be clean and tight. If there is any corrosion or looseness of any connection it will cause problems. Good luck!

Make sure you have the correct power and ground hooked up if it comes on then but no sound from the speakers check for correct speaker wiring.

Under the 3 coils.... there is a ignition module, this often over heats. look for something ozzzing out of it. remove the coils and if the potted circuit board looks like the coating has melted, that is your problem.

Normally the "Fuse-able Link" is right next to the Battery. It'll be a short length of wire supplying all the current to the fuse box.But this won't be the cause. I have a problem with your description "Battery still dies while driving around". Can you elaborate on this? Assuming the Battery and Alternator are not defective, the fan belt is tight enough and the Battery is fully charged, all should be ok.

You have a leaking heater core.

run the fault codes as the engine temperature sensor unit that controls the ECM may be faulty from the over heating that was occurring.

Under the body lift plated.

take belt off then make sure you have the right size socket and breaker bar to loosen the bolts on the tensioner and do everything in reverse to put new on

auto shutoff relay or ignition module bad..

Does the car pull to the left when you break? Do you have antilock?

I had the same problem it was my MAF sensor.

Hello: I would first check the coolant sensor then the fuel pressure then also check the vacuum line going to the fuel pressure regulator. If it has gas in it the regulator is bad.

It sounds like your coolant temp sensor could be at fault

the problem should be in the cable which operates the mechanism. try having it changed.
