1995 Ford Taurus front passenger window went down and won't roll up
Remove the switch panel and check to see there is 12V power there.. If there is Push the switch and see if the power comes out of it to drive the motor, if the power is not present check the wire back looking for the short.. usually if the power is missing none of the windows will work. look where the wires come out the door post to the door. look at fuses, If there is power and it does not come through the switch when you push the switch. the switch might be bad. in which case jump the switch to roll window up and buy a new switch (rock auto.com) if you apply 12v power and the window still will not go up.. you will need to replace the motor. not a hard job. you must remove door panel and remove regulator and motor and replace and reinstall. either junk yard part, craigslist part or new at Rock auto.. Post a comment and let us know what happens.
1995 ford taurs dash lights will not come on why not?
The dash lights have their own 5 amp fuse. The power for this fuse comes through the fuse for the tail lamps. This is done so that if the fuse for the tail lamps blows, the driver will know because the dash lamps go out and when he checks the dash lamp fuse, it will be good, but there will be no power going to it. Most common issue though, is that someone accidentally turned the dimmer switch for the dash lamps completely down. Check that first.
Why does battery light come on when car is put in reverse?
It's most likely a short in the wiring somewhere. When the transmission is put in reverse, it'll cause the engine to shift, which could cause strain on the wiring harness and cause the field wire to the alternator to lose connection.
Why does battery light come on when in reverse?
low idle causes the alternator go below min voltage = batt light
main harness for the engine compartment is routed between the
firewall and exhaust header/egr tube. Bad location plus the harness is attached to the metal coolant by-pass tubes, a failing motor mount
could let the harness "ground". A '95' Taurus usually takes 2.5 to 3 years to eat a fresh battery. The elect system is draining the battery
even when its parked!. If the cables/terminals are sound and tight and a voltmeter test indicates 13.75 - 14 volts when checked at the batt terminals, with engine at idle and tranny in park. Have someone
apply the brakes and shift to reverse, take another voltmeter reading. There shouldn't be a significant drop in the two tests. If the engine rocks badly on the mnts and the second test has a voltage drop under 12 volts. Then a short to ground is very likely. Take it to a parts house that will test the battery and alternator for you.
but if the battery is over 2 yrs. old, then your going to replace it soon.
let me know if you would please.

Torque specification for 1995 ford Taurus
4 Cyl Intake manifold bolts to heads = 15 to 23 Ft-lbs
6 Cyl 3.0L Step 1 = 11, step 2 = 21
6 Cyl 3.8L Step 1 = 7, step 2 = 15 & step 3 = 24 Ft-lbs
Tighten the bolts in secuence from center to out, alternating sides (front & rear); reaching the specified torque in several stages. I hope this helps. Take care.

A quick solution to this is to go to a dump and get
an exchange gearbox. They seldom go wrong and it
would be cheaper than parts.
I do not know the car very well, but if it is a steereing
column change some of the connecting rods could have
slipped off before it enters the gear box.Could be worth
following rods to box to make sure, usually joined with small
king pin but might be something else. You could join with wire
if that is what it is,and go and get the small parts you need.

What would make the brakes bind up on a 1995 Taurus?
Did you recently replace the front brakes ? If you did them yourself, did you clean and GREASE the front rotor pins that bolt the brake disc holders to the wheel assembly ?They might be rusted in place, and won't let the disc retract or close. Your wheel cylinders might be frozen in place as well.
Why does my recently tuned-up 1995 ford taurus with 127,400 miles, cuts out and sputters when I get up to a certain speed.
A couple questions first.. at what speed does it cut out at, and is the cut out consistent at that speed? Just to throw a couple ideas at you to begin with, it could be a plugged fuel filter, because what happens is that the higher speed you travel at, the more pressure it takes to push the gas through the filter. So if it's plugged, you will notice it at higher speeds. If you slow down, the gas will trickle through enough to keep the engine running smoothly. Start there, and if no help, write back and we'll get into some sensors to check. But they are a little more pricey...
1995 ford taurus manual
Check in a Junk Yard, a lot of car has the Manual in the Glove Box or buy a Taurus / Sable Repair Manual in a Auto Store ($15-$20); I recommend to go for the repair manual, that will help you to keep your Taurus in good shape for the future. Take care.
