When the anti theft system was created,the dealers forgot to tell the new car buyers about how much the fob matters to the vehicle,without it,owners are stuck,your anti theft device is activated,you need to lock and unlock your doors a couple times with the key fob,not the key,and then you need to put the key in the ignition and start it,if you dont have your key fob,call your car dealer to get a new one,they are programmed for each car only,you cannot bypass it.if you lost your fob or never had it,whatever,you need to have the exact fob that came with that car from the factory,the key and fob have a chip in them that only go to that certain car,if you do not have it,then you need to buy a new one from the dealer or ebay and then you need to contact your dealer about programming the fob to your car,you might not have to have it towed if they have the documents from the car,the only other way is to get a junk car,with the steering column,key,fob and all computer boxes and door locks and switch them,i just did that with a 98 dodge dakota,and it works.

What code does it have ? A no bus message means the serial data communication network is no functioning . No information to the instrument cluster . A module or a short is bring down the system . Check engine light on? If so go to any major auto part store and ask them to hookup computer for diagnostics codes. This is a free service. Sounds like a sensor gone bad.

Have a mechanic check it out .could be a cam follower leaking down, a big end nock or several other things.

Either:
1. The Metal Rod connecting the inside door handle to the door mechanism is most likely disconected either at:
a. The inside door handle
or
b. The connection on the door mechanism.
2. The Door Mechanism is not operating correctly.
You should be able to see the door mechanism and the connections. I sometimes use a poskeyt mrror and flashlight to see the mechanism.
A. Check the connections and try moving the metal bar back and forth attempting to open the door.
B. If this does not work: then attempt spraying WD40 into the door mechanism and re-attempt.
C If this does not work: then remove the mechanism and check the inside door connection mechanics.

It should as long as you have the exact truck as the truck your taking the harness from. Also needs to be same generation

so the fan is not working ? blower or if that is ok, then the damper is stuck in fresh air so that only moving makes? air flow. seems the heater core is hot. all you need now is dampers right scan it yet?

Pull two fuses, and compare them. A "blown" fuse will not have any wire connecting the two ends, while the "good" fuse will visibly have a thin wire.

We had an older car that did that and our mechanic says that is a safety that is installed so if there is a short the lights will not go out and stay out. It's a safety they put in. It means you have a short some place and you need to get it repaired ASAP You could have an accident if the lights completely failed or burn out high priced items in the end.
