It will help Matt if you would have said what color the smoke is thats coming out the tailpipe. White heavy smoke will be antifreeze getting in the combustion chamber.Could be head gasket,cracked or warped head.Black smoke would be fuel system pumping gas in making it run rich,And not able to burn the fuel completly.

check the wires on your solenoid on top of your gearbox for rust or dirt. if ok change the overdrive relay.

run fault codes to determine which sensor. Check that the cam shaft is turning and the timing belt has not broken

Pull the seat back out and check your wires. Some may be ran under your carpet. Sounds like you slpiced a wire and its grounding on the floor pan under the seat.

Sounds like a restriction in one of the tracks.

4 years? you really need to find a mechanic that knows what hes doing. if you have replaced the canister and purge solenoid valve (muliple sensors? you realy need to be specific on what has or has not been replaced ) most times the hoses are not installed properly on the purge solenoid, or leak. the hose with the green cap/test port should be closest to the electrical connector.
