1992 Pontiac Firebird - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
92 firebird wont crank, tried everything nothing
It could still be the security system. The resistors only bypass the key and ignition. If your Theft Deterrent Module is bad, the security light may not turn on, and the car will not start. You can bypass this.

My car idles but when i give it any gas it breaks
Try replacing the PCV valve and check the air filter. If the check engine light is on scan for codes. Warm up your car a few minutes and see if it still wants to stall out after that. If it tries to stall again check the exhaust dampener.

1992 firebird. 305 engine after warm up starts missing under acceleration
could be a overheating issue the gague may register that it is at correct temperature but maybe just a few degrees warm causing what is called vapor lock where the gas is getting to warm and is evaporating before it gets into intake worked on same car a few years back and it turned out that they removed the botom of fan shroud causing this particular problem if your shroud is all there also check any lines tubes or hoses that lead into your air intake.also check your plug wires if rubbing on manifold when gets hot could cause a short in spark causing misfire.any check engine lights appear in the dash?

1995pontiac,firebird6cyl,sputters at 2000rpm
When you say "sputters at 2000 rpm" , are you referring to ANY time the engine is at 2000 rpm - meaning in Park, when you are just goosing the throttle, or in gear when you are accelerating, or at highway speed in high gear? If you are experiencing a "shuddering" in the engine at certain speeds/rpms - especially if these are speeds you regularly cruise at (long commutes at steady speeds), the problem could be in the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS). They have a tendency to wear unevenly if you drive a certain steady speeds. Eventually, the problem would progress to an engine code, but it may occur without setting the check engine light.

Cant find main fuse
look under the hood in engine compartment along fenders and also check connections on the battery, clean off the posts if needed. Check battery for voltage if it's less than 11 volts it's bad.
