My cd is stuck in

i had this problem and i just used a normal kitchen knife to lever the cd up or down to get it facing the slot and then eject, it just seems to stick on the fascia, if it wont take a cd in there is probably already a cd stuck in it.

If you turn on your headlight do the light up good? Has it been sitting a little bit?
It sounds like your starter may be sticking.

Don't smash your starter but give it a little tap then try to turn it over.

sometimes when vehicles sit the starter will stick on you.

I have a cd stuck

FIRST Reduce electrocution risk by disconnecting all power supplies from the CD player and make sure any electrical charge has been removed.

Method 1

Take a blank/useless CD (such as AOL free trial CD's, you can get them in a plethora of amounts in Best Buy) and place it about 1 inch deep into the slot
.

Press the 'Eject' button and gently wiggle the CD around. If this doesn't work, repeat and try to get the blank CD below the the jammed CD, and gently pry the target CD upwards.

Method 2

Get a 1 inch to 2 inch wide putty knife and wrap tape around it with the sticky side of the tape on the outside of the knife. Use a strong tape like Gorilla tape for best results. The knife is typically tapered so that if you wrap the tape tight enough it will not slide off the end

Get a piece of paper and stick it to one side of the knife. Trim with scissors. You now have a thin sticky knife you can slide into the CD player opening

Insert knife into CD player with sticky side down trying to get it to go on top of the CD that is stuck. Press down gently to get the tape to stick to the CD.

Gently lift up and pull the knife out. Hopefully the CD will come with it. You might try hitting the eject button if it doesn't work the first time.

Method 3

Get a stiff plastic "card" - like a drivers license but a bit thinner. Put double-sided scotch tape on one side of the card, near the edge of one of the two narrow ends of the card.

Get a thin-stemmed flat head screwdriver (short is better). With the sticky side of the card facing down, stick it into the **** ABOVE the stuck CD. You may have to use the screwdriver to ensure the card goes in above the CD and does not stick to the CD until after you get 1/2 to 3/4 inch of the card in above the CD.

With the card still in there, insert the thin flat screwdriver ON TOP of the card and gently press down on the card. This causes the tape on the bottom side of the card to stick to the top side of the stuck CD.Remove the screwdriver and then slowly pull the card out. The CD should come with the card.

Check out this youtube viedo for a first hand look at what to do.

How do i jumbstart a

Connect the cables to your battery, then another car's battery, making sure the polarity is correct. Start the other vehicle, run it at 3k RPM, and start yours. It WILL start - and if not then your issue isn't even close to the battery. You'd have to ask a parts store for the cost of a new battery. Most cars use the same type of lead-acid battery, but different sizes and output capacity.

I.E your honda battery couldn't power a diesel truck/.

We have bought a 2010

I assume its a new W212 E-Class ? Do you need a 7 pin or 13 pin socket. Either way adapters are available from MB and these have to be programmed at the dealer so the CAN system identify's what the new accessory is.
I would check with a different dealer if you are not getting anywhere, or a reputable tow bar fitter.

Battery dead, boot will not open nor key turn in

Hi

If you look at your remote key fob you will see a small metal "silver part" this should pull out of your keyfob, this is an override key, if you look on the car door where the handle is you will see a thin slot to put this in, lock then unlock the car, this will disable the dead locks and you will be able to open the boot.

This may sound a bit crazy if you have not noticed the silver part on the keyfob before, so do get back to me if you are unsure what I mean and I can send you a picture, if the metal override key is missing then you have trouble getting in the boot.

Hope this helps, like I said do get back to me if you are unsure.
Regards

Dan

The dashboard in my 2004 e500 says vist workshop!

That is the same as a Check Engine Light. You are either over due for an Oil and Air Filter change or a sensor is going bad. If your in the United states go to one of the Major Auto Parts stores and ask them to connect their code reader to the vehicle and identify the fault code and that will tell you what is wrong.

Where is the oil stick

There is none unless you want to get one from the dealer, but you don't have to. When you're changing your oil, you have to level your car then go inside your car and go to your dash board and go through your options. It will tell you your level how much oil you have.

Where is the engine oil dipstick on a 2004 E240

These cars don't have a dipstick (really!). Using the steering wheel controls you can get to a page on the computer output (middle of speedo2_bing.gif) that will give you an indication of oil level. Sorry I don't recall exactly which page it is, but the manual explains - I'm sure you can google it. If you do a normal journey (so the engine is up to temp) and then park on a level surface and wait a few minutes you get the true reading from this function. If you ask me it's all too clever for it's own good...
