97 chevy suburban 5.7 new motor but has no power
IF in fact it is a completely new motor, including new injectors etc. then the next place to consider is going to be your transmission and rear end units. My '96 lost the first trans at around 101,000 then I put what they call a "SRTA" or something like that, at the dealership. Then I put a rebuilt rear end in there also. Big mistake on my part. Go to a good shop and have them rebuild your trans or rear. I had to do both again and I'm only at 130,000. Now however, I can say that the Sub rolls and feels good again. I even have to brake harder because it rolls so good. Good luck. Oh and remember the Sub is a beast, the 5.7L, which is what I have will not be a tire burner. 42 gallons of fuel full is pretty heavy as well.
