Head gasket location
The head gasket location is under the cylinder head to get to it the intake manifold has to be removed,then the valve cover there the cylinder head comnes out, you have two cylinder heads one on the left and one to the right.
How do I adjust the valves on my 1996 camaro 3.8
I don't belive there are on that engine .Although i could be wrong i don't have that manual in front of me. Pull one of the valve covers see if there are sloted studs and lock nuts on the valve side of the rocker arms. If not you have a stuck lifter. If so the adjustment would be 17 thousands for the ehxust and 15 for the intake but it needs to be done in sequence .Call the chevy dealer it has to be done correctly or you will start throughing rods through the hood. Im 90 %there not and its a lifter
383 stroker crank no start
CHeck and test cam and crank sensor;
You will have to pinpoint what the engine is missing...- Spark- Fuel- CompressionAll three of these are tested when the engine is being cranked over. There are two way of checking for fuel. Fuel pressure and fuel trigger. Both are very important and must be present for the engine to start. Fuel pressure is self explanatory. You just hook up the gage and see what the reading is. Fuel trigger is check with a noid light. The injector gets unplugged and the noid light gets plugged in to the injector clip. With the engine cranking over, this light must blink. This is the signal to the injectors from the computer. You can have all the fuel pressure in the world, but it wont matter if the injector is not pulsing gas into the cylinder like it should.Compression tester, spark tester, fuel pressure gage and noid light are all accessible at your local auto store. All three tests play a very important part in diagnosing a no start condition. Be extremely careful when doing these tests.Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.

Because your saying it doesn't "seem" to be getting spark...Hate to hit you with a lot of questions but without these particular pieces of information it would be difficult to narrow down...Please add any thing else that seems important...Awaiting your reply...Guru...Saailer I’m happy to help further over the phone at

Can you put true duels exuast on a 1996 camaro z28
Different states have different rules about this, call your local state office that runs the inspection program and ask them, in my state it is the Air resources board. If you just do it you may have to remove the pipes to pass smog inspection. You can never run true dual exhaust, you must retain the original catalytic converters, and on this car you have one main catalyst. You can however split the pipes out of the main catalyst and run duals that way, it will not improve performance very much but it helps.
Lever to check transmission oil for manual
There is a fill plug on the side if the transmission, you must get under the car to see it, it is a pipe threaded plug, it should be a 3/4 pipe plug, it will be either an Allen recessed head plug or a square drive standard pipe plug. To check the level pull the plug, put you pinkie finger in the hole, the transmission lube should be just below the threads of the plug in the transmission case. If the fluid needs to be topped off it uses ATF type DEXRON VI, (replaced all earlier DEXRON types) yes manual transmissions uses ATF also.
